About this product

  • Add 3 devices to one HDMI input
  • Automatic switching to the last device switched on
  • Perfect for next generation games consoles/set top boxes

Product overview

• Add 3 devices to one HDMI input• Automatic switching to the last device switched on
• Perfect for next generation games consoles/set top boxes• IR remote control with remote eye• LED indicators• Full HD 1080p support• Also suitable for 480p, 720p and 1080i

An ideal solution for a lack of HDMI inputs on your TV or monitor. This simple to use switch allows up to 3 additional devices to be attached to a single HDMI port. The switch is automatic, meaning that it will instantly change to the device you want to use as soon as you switch it on. It also has an IR remote control and push button allowing manual switching if required. The IR receiver is attached via a flylead and comes with an adhesive pad so the switch box can be hidden, leaving only the compact IR eye visible. LED indicators clearly show which channel is active. A 50cm flylead attached allows for flexible positioning depending on your wiring arrangement. No additional power is required, as this is supplied from the devices you connect to it, simply plug in and it works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought the switch to prevent the need to swap the HDMI lead to the projector between the different sources. Whereas the initial picture quality is good, after just 10 minutes or so of viewing a 'colour shadow' begins to flicker across the screen and then steadily worsens until the picture blacks out completely for a few seconds at a time. The frequency of the 'black outs' then continues rendering the movie or programme unwatchable. However, if the HDMI lead is plugged directly back to the source full uninterrupted quality is resumed. The only conclusion I can therefore come to is that the HDMI switch doesn't work because it can't cope with the signal transfer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to use this to connect Virginmedia V+BoxHD and PS3 to Techwood 37722HD TV. Unfortunately picture marred by sparklies and after switching TV and other connections off Virgin box did not reconnect when turned back on until I disconnected the switcher. Returning it to store therefore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it says. Automatically switches between 3 inputs. The remote is great for if you need to switch manually. Importantly, the picture quality on my 1080i TV is not changed by using it, the picture is still fantastic. It just sits at the back, you don't know it's there. Who could ask for more? Excellent value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Unit works perfectly I bought one of these a couple of days ago to connect a new TiVo virgin box and Panasonic PVR to a Sony HD Etc TV. Works great just the job with great picture no loss of quality. Quality of picture same when switching from Cable TiVo box to PVR unit tuned into Freeview+ (TV Aerial picture). Red IR lamp looks/works well. Highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work with my HD widescreen monitor Bought this to share my 34" widescreen monitor between my desktop and laptop. Doesn't even work on just the desktop (3 months old Windows10). Screen blanks out and PC has to be rebooted to get display back - then it does it again shortly afterwards

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent HDMI switch Bought some weeks ago and has worked very well=no problems so far. Much better than a switch from another source.

Can you tell me why this does not work with my Sony BDP-S3700 Blu-ray player. There is no video output and the red light flashes no matter what input is used? The player works fine connected to the TV directly.

Asked by: kingspat
Unfortunately, it sounds like that this will not support the resolution of your blue ray player.

Will this connect the following:Sky + box,Talktalk you view and Panasonic HDD pvr as I have tried another switching unit and it will not recognise the Panasonic

Asked by: Pete
There no reason why not but with absolutely no details about the Panasonic device it impossible to guarantee. Some things to check would be ... what resolution is the Panasonic unit outputting (is it 1920 x 1080) Give that the Panasonic is a recording device (PVR) does it use any kind of copy protection (HDCP) and if so what version If it does you will need a switch that supports the same version of HDCP.
