Is this the correct lead to connect my aerial socket on the wall direct to my tv? I only use freeview, no cable channels

Asked by: rosie
If your wall socket is a standard aerial socket the you will need a male to male aerial cable such as https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-coax-plug-to-coax-plug-cable-1m-white-a67xg https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-coax-plug-to-coax-plug-cable-2m-white-a82xg https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-coax-plug-to-coax-plug-cable-10m-white-a64xg

No, I am sorry but the item will not be suitable.

The new Virgin media V6 box has this type of connection now ( similar to TV). If I were to run this cable from the splitter to the the V6 box which would connect will the quality of the cable risk losing some speed reducing signal etc..

Asked by: Dave
As with most items the better quality of cable used will benefit a better quality image/sound, and indeed speed of Data pass through. Using splitters/connectors can weaken the signal. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee full compatibility for this item in your intended application, I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

It's difficult to answer without knowing how you intend to use the cable.
