This MHL cable allows compatible smartphones or tablets to transfer their display to a TV or monitor. This means you can watch movies, play games or any other activity and display it all on a large screen. MHL 3.0 increases the maximum resolution to 4k Ultra HD, and improvement from the previous 2.0 spec which was only 1080p. Other new features include:

Simultaneous high-speed data channel
Improved Remote Control Protocol (RCP) with new commands
HID support for peripherals such as a touch screen, keyboard and mouse
Higher power charging up to 10W
Backward compatible with MHL 1 and MHL 2
Latest HDCP 2.2 content protection
Enhanced 7.1 surround sound with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD
Support for simultaneous multiple displays

Please note: MHL is becoming widely used on smartphones and tablets. However, not every device is enabled for it. Please check your device's manual to ensure you can use an MHL cable.

There are two versions of MHL, 5pin and 11pin. This adaptor works with either as it includes a 5pin to 11pin adaptor.

In addition the display device you are connecting to dictates how this cable operates. MHL enabled display devices allow this cable to be powered without the need for an additional power supply. This product will work with a non MHL enabled display, but will need you to plug your microUSB charger into the USB port on this cable. This is because non-MHL enabled displays don't provide power and the cable will not work. Please check your product manual for details.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with Note 4 Needed a cvonnection from my Note 4 to hdmi on tv to play Kodi on a big screen. Maplins have this one on sale but this listing doesn't mention the 5 to 11 pin adaptor that's included in the box required for some devices like the Note 4. I set about making the connection as follows. Hdmi cable from tv to adaptor. Then 5 to 11 pin little adaptor pluged into the main adaptor. other end of the 5 to 11 pin into the Note 4. Selected the Hdmi input on the tv but it kept appearing and dissapearing like it was switching on and off ! On the side of the main hdmi adaptor there's a port to plug in a power source to charge your device (note4) whilst in use and it needed this to be connected before it would maintain the connection to my tv. I used a power brick for the power connection which made it nice and portable :) All in all it works flawlessly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work without power Bought this to use on a mobile device. Tried it on an MHL 3.0 compliant tablet, and an MHL 3.0 compliant mobile. In both cases the HDMI indicator on the supply just flicks on and off, until a usb power source is plugged in. Seems that the adaptor draws too much power from the connected device.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless Doesn't work - tried every possible way to connect and display using this garbage connector. Only supports up to Samsung Galaxy S5 but it still did not perform.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money I brought this from maplin and the 5 pin to 11 pin adapter is useless. Its a bad fit forever adjusting to get a signal will end up damaging phone port

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality HD & 4K pictures! Bought one last year December 2016, and it's still in working order. Questions : Why? & how? Does it switch the Internet excess?

Does this product with a P10 Lite WAS-LX1A smartphone work?

Asked by: jayrech
I've checked online the specifications for your phone and it makes no mention as to its capabilities for MHL. I can only suggest you check with the manufacturer directly to see what capabilities it has for outputting video.
