Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat Device Pretty easy to setup and got it working easily with my Samsung tablet and smartphone using AllShare (Samsungs Miracast System). Was a bit trickier to get Windows 8.1 to work with Miracast but once it found the device on the network. Installed as a projector and I was able to extend my display over to my HDTV (an older Samsung Smart TV). The provided AirFun software is okay for showing photos and the like. The provided screen mirroring software and mode work okay but they are not as slick as Miracast mode and I couldn't get display extension to work. All in all, I am very pleased with the device. I did take a bit of setting up for Windows 8.1 but once working has worked faultlessly. Would have been a 5 star rating if the instructions and setup were a bit better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unacceptible video streaming I bought this intending to stream HD video from my android device. The quality was terrible and blocky (fine on device - not network issue). Tried it with BBC iPlayer and YouTube. (Made decision to return adapter before trying Google Play Store video.) No way to configure wifi channel (in case this was why it was so bad). I didn't try putting my phone right next to adapter (in case it was range issue); but was only about 1.5m anyway. Wouldn't recommend. Might I just say that Maplin score top marks for handling the return and refunding. Thanks guys. Sorry this device wasn't up to my standard.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems installing on a Macbook The product came amazingly quickly on free delivery. However, the instructions are not sufficiently clear for me. It was a struggle even getting the right information from the CD. Note for those with a CDless Mac. I did manage to get so far as installing the screen share and connect the NTV301 to my TV but that's as far as I got. My Macbook did not see the wifi from the NTV301 and I was unable to manually get it to work. I would describe myself as an intermediate knowledge computer person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent!!!!!!! This product is amazing, and simple to use, it does not lag like the omnicast dongle which is also good but for Ј5 your are getting a much better device with this.

Will this adapter work on projectors to display on my windows 10 laptop

Asked by: Harry
As long as the projector has a HDMI input and the laptop processor supports the WiDi or Miracast methods of screen sharing, then this should be fine.
