What advantages does this mouse have?
This is a great basic mouse for everyday use that’s simple and easy to use. Measuring 115mm x 60.8mm x 39.04mm it has three buttons including a scroll wheel for easy and quick navigation in documents and on the web. With an optical LED sensor and 900 DPI sensitivity the mouse has smooth and high precision tracking.

Is this mouse plug and play?
This mouse is compatible with Window 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, just plug the mouse into a USB socket a carry on with your work, it’s a simple as that. No batteries required as the mouse gets all its power from the USB cable and it’s symmetrical so it’s suitable for both right and left-handed users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maplin Optical Mouse I don't know what people are moaning about with the negative reviews. I found it works straight out of the box with Windows 10 which installs the drivers automatically. Nicely made, smooth and comfortable to use, it is ideal for large hands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst mouse I`ve ever owned After 4 hours the left mouse button CONSTANTLY double clicks everything with one click or dragging, infuriating, tried all kind of settings DO NOT BUY, its put me off buying any maplin mouse now, ive had £4.00 mouse last over a year, just awful

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Starts to fail after a year I have had two of these, and after a year both started to show the same fault: when first switching on in the morning, the mouse is barely responsive - the cursor either doesn't move or moves in a jerky fashion on the screen. For the first year it was a great mouse, so when this happened the first time I thought it was just bad luck and I got another. However the same fault has started to present with the replacement mouse, so I'm starting to think it could be a design flaw. Any comments from Maplin?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you insist! Dodgy fingers compel me to use a USB mouse rather than the laptop's integral. This is comfortable to use, but will it last longer than the previous one? Seems quite well made, so it stands a chance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, cheap mouse I don't know why the review scores are for poor, this is a great, cheap mouse for anything, it works flawlessly throughout everyday tasks, and works great even for a bit of gaming. The buttons feels a bit cheap and too clicky, but the scroll wheel feels great, which is rare on most mouses for some reason. Mouse is nice and light which is a GOOD thing, it doesn't mean the mouse is cheaply made, it's made light for a reason, heavy mouses feel awful, just try the Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse. Needed this mouse as a filler as I'll probably only be using it for gaming on the go, so £7.99 felt like a decent enough price until I can afford a nicer mouse for my desktop. Works flawlessly on my MacBook Pro, no drivers, just plugged it in. Haven't tested it on my PC yet but I hear there are some problems to be had there, however I find that hard to believe as I can plug it into my Mac, a computer that wasn't even designed for use with it, and it works perfectly. Great cheap mouse, well built for the price, all is good, would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected This mouse workes as expected. An equipment failure (KVM Switcj) caused me to have to get a new KVM Switch. Because this new KVM Switch uses USB Connecters I could use the old PS2 mouse and so I had to get a new USB mouse

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than similarly priced branded mice (mouses?) This mouse has a good solid feel to it and is just the right weight and size. The scroll wheel is silent and has a nice smooth action. Yet again, Maplin branded products have exceeded expectations.
