What advantages does this mouse have?
No wires are needed to use this Bluetooth Blue Trace Mouse which helps keep your desk tidy. Great for everyday use it has three buttons including a metallic scroll wheel for easy and quick navigation in documents and on the web. Measuring 98.5mm x 59.6mm x 36.81mm this mouse is designed for a comfy grip and can be used by right-handed users.

Is this mouse plug and play?
The wireless mouse works by plugging the nano USB receiver into a USB socket and with its compact size it won't be easily knocked out. When you've finished using your mouse you can even leave it in the port for next time. Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, the mouse runs off one AA battery which is included.

What is Blue Trace?
The Blue Trace LED sensor ensures a smooth and precise tracking for the mouse and can be used on almost any surface. It works using the blue LED beam with an image sensor and pixel geometry to build a high contrast picture of most surfaces.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from it is good but I love this mouse when it is working, and as the other person said, I can't believe how much easier it is to use than a wired mouse. I am not sure whether I have a faulty mouse, but every now and again it just stops working, and you have to do that whole blue tooth thing of trying to re-establish a connection - frustrating. The build quality is definitely on the cheap side and MAPLIN should sort this out with their supplier as this is not a cheap product considering what it is. For example, leaving the mouse in my business case, I noticed the plastic covering has rubbed off where it was rubbing against something in my bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply great with an Android TV box Although I already had a Bluetooth mini keyboard with a tracking pad for use with my Android TV box, I often found that the pad was lacking in ease of use. So I decided to buy this. What a great decision. It works so easily, I don't know why I left it do long to get one. The only problem I had, was when I initially paired it with my Smart TV and couldn't work out how to unpair it! Fortunately, thanks to some help on here, all I had to do was pair it with my laptop, turn off Bluetooth on the laptop and pair it with my TV box.

I bought one of these & It worked with my surface pro until Friday. It no longer works and there does not seem to be any way to pair it. I have discarded the packaging and cannot find a manual. Is there anything you suggest?

Asked by: nojokes
Unfortunately, this would be impossible to diagnose through an FAQ. I would suggest taking the device into your local Maplin store to see if the store staff can assist you with this.

it says in description that it uses a usb dongle i thought bluetooth would not need this if pc is bluetooyh enabled

Asked by: nicol117
The dongle is pre-paired with the mouse using Bluetooth technology, The dongle is needed as it would not appear as a pairable device in windows settings.

My mouse drops the blue tooth connection after approximately 5 minutes of use. It is very good when it is working, but equally very frustrating. It has nothing to do with the battery strength as it does this still on new battery. I am running Win 10.

I have not used this mouse for a few days. Now when I try to connect to it from my laptop I am being asked to enter a PIN. I have lost the documentation but I am sure I did not have to enter a PIN before. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have one of these and it's really good. However, I originally paired it with my TV, but now want to pair it with my TV box instead. The problem is, how do I unpair it from the TV? There is no option on the TV to do this and Samsung support are stumped!!

Asked by: Kelvin
Thanks James, problem solved. I paired it with my laptop, turned Bluetooth off on the laptop then paired it with the TV Box.
