This SCART Through adapter allows an in-line S-Video or Triple Phono (RCA) connection to a scart socket on a television, switchable to an input or an output. And the Scart throughput allows a separate Scart device to be connected simultaneously. Only one input device should be switched on at any one time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connecting old and new equipment Our new television has no SCART socket and our Video Cassette Recorder has only a SCART output. Our DVD player has both types of output but no input. My solution was to put the Maplin SCART Through Adaptor in the DVD output and connect the VCR to it with a SCART cable. It’s a bit awkward to reach round to move the switch on the adaptor to change between VCR and DVD but the arrangement works well and the picture quality from the DVD player is much better than when its output went indirectly by SCART cable through the VCR to the old television.
