How could I use this powerline kit?
With wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps, you can effortlessly extend your Wi-Fi network via the existing powerline. Broadcast a wireless signal to share will all your Wi-Fi enabled devices in another area of your home or office. By connecting the powerline plug to your device via an Ethernet cable, it will provide you with stable, high-speed data transfer rates of up to 500Mbps on a line length of up to 300 meters. It is a great choice for a whole home solution to connect all network compatible devices - from computers, game consoles and set-top boxes for printers to NAS drives. With an integrated power socket, this provides real convenience for your home network. The main powerline adapter has an integrated power socket that allows an additional device or power bar to be connected to the adapter as though it were a normal wall socket. This ensures that even with the main powerline adapter plugged in, no power output is going to waste.

How easy it is to set up a powerline network?
Set up the powerline network within minutes with TP-Link's plug in and play powerline adapters. The adapter's "pair" buttons can also be utilised for securing or managing multiple powerline adapters in your home powerline network. Plug one Internet connected adapter into a nearby power outlet. Then connect additional adapters to PCs/laptops/Internet TVs or other networked devices via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi, and you're done.

How does powerline work?
Powerline technology transfers data using the electrical wiring of the household. This allows for a single powerline plug to be connected directly to a router and plugged into a mains socket. This plug will then communicate to all of the other plugs connected to the same electricity supply. This kit comes with a single powerline plug that connects to a router and another two plugs that will connect to your networked devices and allow them to communicate to your router over the mains. The powerline adapters will communicate with each other when connected directly to mains sockets that are on the same fuse board. Additional receivers, including receivers that give a wireless signal, are sold separately so you can connect additional devices to your router. For best results, use any powerline receiver capable of sending up to 500Mbps or more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I brought these to replace my white sky booster boxes which gave terrible performance for my SkyQ system, since installing them I've had excellent wifi coverage and no connection issues to my mini boxes since. Really easy to copy (wps) to my existing sky hub router as per basic setup instructions.... Tip - change the wifi pass word on your sky router first to something simpler..... Hope this helps others who r having a nightmare with the new skyq

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! Just bought this set and was set up within minutes. Not even sure they're all on the same ring main (although I guess they must be) but getting up to 37mbps via wifi at the opposite end of a big house (on a 38mbps fibre connection). Haven't tried the Ethernet connections yet but no reason to think they won't work. Buy with confidence!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product Very easy to set up - pretty much just plug in and go. So far has been much more reliable than wi-fi.

How do you know that the device connecting is actually connecting to the extender wifi signal and not just the original router wifi if the name is the same.
