Rated 2 out of 5 by from Charges SLOWLY - twice as slow as original charger. (More than 4 hours as opposed to less than two with an original charger). It says it can deliver 2.1A current, but my Samsung smartphone is only charged at a quarter of that rate (500mA). The reason is that it does not follow the electrical standard, and the phone does not recognise it as a an (AC) charger and thinks it is merely charging via a USB port - therefore it is much slower. Not recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought 2 (1 for me 1 for my wife) both have stopped working. I also have the smaller (1A) black one with international plug set and this is still working fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as good as it suggests Bought this to power a Raspberry PI - to which is seems to handle alright on it's own but when attaching the PI Camera module it completely runs out of "steam". The PSU ability to supply its rated power is questionable. The camera displays color "bars" due to the low power output of this PSU. Connected an old phone charger 1A rated supply and it works perfectly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had a serious charging problem with my Samsung Galaxy on the manufacturers adaptor, just before going on holiday. Sometimes it would only charge by a few percent overnight. The Maplin adaptor not only charged my phone and camera but did so much faster and more reliably than the Samsung adapter. I have continued to use it since returning to the UK. Saved my beloved phone from becoming almost useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Compact Charger Works well, build quality looks good, compact and travel adapters are very simple to change. Samsung phone shows "Charging AC" so contrary to some reviews I believe this charger will allow charging at the fastest speed possible. Using it with a Maplin USB cable (not included) also of good quality with gold connectors a firm connection to phone.
