Take the guesswork out of reversing your car with this easy-to-install wireless colour camera kit.
The camera is powered by the reverse lighting and the transmitter is built into the camera's housing. The 3.5-inch monitor can mount onto your windscreen and has the receiver built into the 12 V accessory plug.
The camera performs excellently in low-light-level conditions meaning you can park night and day with ease.
Installation will require drilling holes into the car's bodywork.
Please note that this kit is for cars and not other vehicles such as vans, lorries etc.
Due to the way the reversing lamps are powered this kit may well not be suitable for car models released since 2011. Please check the car's manual or with the car manufacturer if in any doubt.
The device uses 2.4 GHz to transmit the signal, the same frequency used by Bluetooth. Switch Bluetooth off to optimise performance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Well, the important thing you need to know is the fact that this camera uses 2.4GHz to transmit the signal to the screen. Unfortunately, bluetooth devices also use 2.4GHz, so if you've got bluetooth hands free or music streaming in your car, then you either have to switch it off or accept a very poor signal on the screen. Without bluetooth it's not too bad, but the range isn't very good, and the signal doesn't pass through metal very well either. I fitted the kit to a Mitsubishi L200 pickup and ended up having to put the camera antenna along the outside of the tailgate and the screen on the rear screen in the cab to get a decent picture. Reliability isn't great either. The first one lasted a month, and the second one about 2 months although the camera was quite exposed so in might be better on the number plate where it's more shielded from the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This kit is great! I would have to disagree with the other reviews to some extent. I drive a 1998 volvo V40 estate. I fitted it to the panel just above the number plate as the instructions said. This is no easy task in a V40! Anyway the camera is good quality and gives a good picture. The screen was faulty in my kit but was swapped within days, so all was good. I have the head unit with bluetooth and I use it with my phone. I have seen little interference on the monitor. I do seem to get more interference at night. I do sometimes get a blue screen but only for a second. The quality is good even by night, in very low light it almost goes to black and white. I would recommend to a friend and I have. A friend will be buying one soon. It is a good item for its price. The signal seems quite clear across the length of my V40 estate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased this item as an addition to reversing sensors on my 6m A class Motorhome. Very easy to install and gives a good clear view to the rear of the vehicle. Did wonder if the existing wireless sensors would cause interference, but no problem currently. Good product for the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The pack says 30 metre range between camera and monitor in open field but what if doesn't say is that this is reduced to less than one metre when trying to go from the back of a car to the front! Not clever on a reversing camera. Bought this to monitor dogs and puppies from inside the back of a pick up truck so the wireless isn't even going through anything as the window between cab and truck is open and I simply cannot get a picture worth seeing at all!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Originally got this as a B grade item only to find that it had been damaged. Upgraded to a new item and when that arrived the on/off switch was broken off. Poor quality item for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fitted this to my old dad's car, and he's over the moon. One slight niggle: the supplied blade connectors are no use for connecting the thick car wires to the thinner camera wires. It worked fine to begin with, then it didn't. So I simply soldered then insulated the connections, and it's worked perfectly since (over six months). The car is parked outside in all conditions, without any problems.

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee compatibility. I would suggest querying this with the manufacturer of the car.

Can it be used to observe horses when in transit on a trailer from the passenger side of car

Asked by: Sanj 52
It is not the intended purpose of the device so would require some modifications to the wiring, but there is no technical reason why not. I would encourage checking up on the legality of this also, I believe it has to be out of sight of the driver entirely.
