What is a dehumidifier?A dehumidifier is used to remove moisture from the air and to manage the humidity within a room. They draw humid air through the unit, where the moisture is drawn out into the tank. Dehumidifiers are commonly used in domestic and office environments to help remove damp and condensation. They are also ideal in rooms that have been water damaged from flooding, burst pipes or an overflowing bathroom.

How is this dehumidifier unique?
This dehumidifier removes up to 10 litres of humidity from the air every day, either into its 1.8 litre tank or through continuous draining with the included hose. The mechanical controls give you full control of the dehumidifier so that you can set it and leave it alone to run. The dehumidifier is as quiet as a refrigerator, outputting 43dBA of noise when in use, and is powered using a mains plug. While only running at one consistent speed, it can operate in a range of temperatures up to 35°C - allowing you use this dehumidifier in a wide range of environments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me! Bought this on impulse in the maplin store, as the price was right, and it does not need packs of desiccant. So far it has been running almost 3 days in a slightly damp office and a very damp cellar. Product as described - quiet operation and removing 4-5 litres a day on the intermediate setting in the cellar. The "bucket full" container does work ! Only reservation so far, the bucket is a very snug fit, and I have not had to remove and clean the air filter yet. The built in handle is robust and a very nice design feature. So far a very worthy 5 stars, and cheaper than hiring a humidifier for 2 weeks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Working well Pleased with my purchase of this reasonably priced unit. Working well in my moderately heated outbuilding. No digital display/humidity reading, which is a drawback, but works fine if you just set the rotary dial to a high setting.
