This compact motor and integrated 62:1 ratio planetary gearbox can deliver up to 119 rotations per minute and torque up to 227gf.cm (gram-force cm), the . At just 49mm long (60.6mm including shaft) and a diameter of 15.5mm and weighing 42g, this is a great addition to many small or enclosed projects. The motor can be use in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction dependant on the polarity of the incoming voltage. Operating power should be DC 1.5-12 volts.
Why use planetary motor gearbox?
Planetary gearbox can be half the size of a conventional gearbox and more efficient allowing smaller motors to be used for the same output. Planetary or epicyclic gearing involves one or more planet gears rotating around a sun gear and an outer ring, the planet gears are often mounted on a carrier that rotates relative to the sun gear.

The built-in gearbox can increase your turning power (torque) at a reduced rotations per minute from the motor. The optimum ratio for this will depend on your project. Powered by a DC power supply, the motor gearbox outputs to a 3mm shaft to connect to your project. It is not recommended to run this motor gearbox at 1.5V.
