About this product

  • Large motor with integral gearbox
  • Great for heavy duty industrial, hobby, modelling, R&D, and education use
  • Operating voltage between 4.5V and 15V

Product overview

• Large motor with integral gearbox
• Great for heavy duty industrial, hobby, modelling, R&D, and education use
• Operating voltage between 4.5V and 15V
• Gearbox ratio of 148:1
• Rotations per minute of up to 132
• Creates torque up to 6000
• Compact size to even fit some medium sized projects

How much torque can this motor produce?

With rotary speeds up to 132 rpm this motor can produce (0.588Nm) at maximum efficiency (12V). This motor is easily mounted with the attached mount and can be run in either direction by changing the input polarity. At just 79mm (104mm with the shaft) x 47mm x 39mm this motor is a great addition to any project requiring high torque.

What can I use this motor gearbox for?

This is a powerful motor with an integral gearbox suitable for heavy-duty industrial or model applications. The motor is capable of high torque transfer through the gears. The built-in gearbox can increase your turning power (torque) at a reduced rotations per minute from the motor. The optimum ratio for this will depend on your project. Solidly constructed from steel and brass with sintered bronze bearings, a high quality three pole motor and a 5.98mm diameter central output shaft. This motor gearbox is ideal for DC 4.5-15V powered mechanisms with a wide range of application from industrial uses to modelling or hobbies or to demonstrate mechanical principles for educational kits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 148:1 MFA large single ratio motor gearbox I bought this motor as I was trying to make a motorised camera slider for my videocamera. This motor is quite powerfull and manages to move the slider head with no problems. I also bought the mfa panel mounted speed regulator module and found this controls the motor speed with no problem, so I am very pleased with my purchase, I may also get the 50:1 motor as this will give a higher top speed for my slider if needed.

Manufacturer part code 919D1481
Supply voltage DC 4.5 V - 15 V
Speed at Max efficiency 132 rpm @ 15V
Speed at other voltages 106 rpm @ 12 V
80 rpm @ 9 V
53 rpm @ 6 V
40 rpm @ 4.5 V
Current at max efficiency 2.75 A @ 12 V
Output power at max efficiency 19.35 W @ 12 V
Torque 6000 (0.588 Nm) @ 12 V
Gearbox ratio 148:1
Shaft diameter 5.98 mm
Weight 255 g
Dimensions 39 mm x 47 mm x 79 mm (104 mm including shaft)

This says it has a 5.98mm diameter shaft. Do you have anything that will fix to this size of shaft? All the gears and wheels seem to be 3mm or 4mm.
