What ratio is this motor gearbox?

This large motor with integrated gear box has a ratio of 50:1. The motor gives a high torque of up to 3000gf.cm (gram-force cm) at 12V and up to 395 rotations per minute (rpm). The direction of the motor can be changed by reversing the input polarity. the gearbox motor comes with its own 1mm thick plated steel mounting and is just 39 mm x 47 mm x 76 mm (101 mm including shaft) in size overall.

What can I use this motor gearbox for?

This is a powerful motor with an integral gearbox suitable for heavy-duty industrial or model applications. The motor is capable of high torque transfer through the gears. The built-in gearbox can increase your turning power (torque) at a reduced rotations per minute from the motor. The optimum ratio for this will depend on your project. Solidly constructed from steel and brass with sintered bronze bearings, a high quality three pole motor and a 5.98mm diameter central output shaft. This motor gearbox is ideal for DC 4.5-15V powered mechanisms with a wide range of application from industrial uses to modelling or hobbies or to demonstrate mechanical principles for educational kits.

this motor has a quoted torque of 3000gf.cm. i need to know how this translates in the real world? Will this torque move a 3kg weight vertically?

Hi &nbsp;&nbsp; I am looking at using these gear motors in a small device I am designing, I will run at 12v DC. &nbsp; What are the electrical connection requirements,can it take a jack plug from a typical 240v AC to 12v DC desk top power pack.
