What would you use a rack for?

You would use a rack and pinion set to change rotary movement from say a motor to linear (straight line) movement. Great for use with hobbies, models and experiments you can use racks for raising gates, steering systems or as tracks. With modifications you can even extend the track with multiple racks. This pack contains ten rack.

Unfortunately MFA have not stated the pitch for this mode, however the part number is 917D2430, designed to fit MFA part number 917D2401 which is a gear with a 2.9mm bore.

ref HA70M. Can these be joined to make up a longer lengths say 0.7 meter
