A worm drive allows you to transfer power between two shafts at 90 degrees to let you change direction. A worm drive is considerably more compact than using bevelled or spur gears for a project. Worm drives can also be used to change rotational speed or torque. This small worm drive is great for use in experiments model applications and hobbies and can be used in presses, gates, lifts and rudders.
