What can I do with this kit?
Create your own nightlight with this dark-activated kit. The LED automatically turns on when the light falls below a set level. This kit uses its solar panel to gather light and charge the AA battery during the day so that it can power the LED during the night. This 13 part kit is simple and fun to make for anyone, and with a 43mm x 23mm board – it fits in almost anywhere.

What can I learn from this kit?
This kit is a great way to learn about sustainable energy sources, as it gives you a look at all the circuit components that use solar energy. Learn to solder resistors, capacitors, LEDs and diodes, and see how they connect into a working circuit. This kit requires soldering and may require wire cutters and wire strippers.

How easy is this kit to solder?
This kit is a great introduction to electronics and renewable power and is easy to solder for any ability level. Once you’ve built the kit – you could put it in a clear container so that you can see the LED and the panel can gather sunlight. Be sure to place it somewhere where it can get plenty of sunlight through the day. This kit requires a single AA rechargeable battery (not included).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly I assembled this kit the night I got it, easy build, great for beginners.

Hi, Can I add more than 1 light to this unit I'm looking to have 3 bulbs in total for a garden project. (fairy house) Thanks

Asked by: Anonymous
It would be difficult to add without modification of the power circuit. The included components will be designed to provide enough power from the battery to the included light. Adding additional lights will change the power requirements, making the existing components unsuitable.
