What can I do with this kit?
There’ll be no need to worry about picking your lottery numbers once you’ve built this kit – it does it all for you. The circuit is designed so that each time you press the button you get a pseudo-random number that is different from the last five – giving you six distinct numbers in a row. The two, seven segment displays show the number in a clear and easy to read way. With 29 parts, this is an easy kit for anyone, beginners or experts, to solder.

What does this kit do?
Pick your number by simply pressing the switch. The PIC16F627A chip sends out a signal for the displays to make a number. The kit comes with an on/off switch to conserve power and make your batteries last longer. Practice soldering basic components like resistors, capacitors and switches and more complex ones like the number displays and microchip. This kit requires a soldering iron and solder, and may require wire cutters.

How easy is this kit to solder?
This is a great kit for those looking to get started in electronics, and ideal for those who want to get luck on their side. Making the kits is only the start – you can add a display or enclosure to protect your electronics and use your creativity – just make sure you can still see the numbers and push the button to make your selection. This kit requires three AA batteries (not included, Order Code L43AL) and comes with a battery box that can be screwed onto the board.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a nice simple kit that is well designed. I'm fairly new to soldering and found it very easy, even the display components. I used it's first 6 numbers on a real lottery ticket.... sadly I didn't win anything.. oh well I enjoyed building the kit and it is a useful stand-alone item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lottery Number Picker Kit Excellent product. Easy to build but some conponets are quite close together. It uses X3 AA batteries, the batteries go in a battery box on the reverse of the PCB. It is very easy to use and build.

They are either faulty or you have connected them incorrectly.

Is there a way to change it to random between 1 and 6

Asked by: Solderbot3000
No sorry, as this is not the manner for which it was designed to be used.

Hi - does this lottery selector still generate numbers up to 49 as the lottery is now 1-59; I bought a kit a while ago is there anything I can do to update it? Thanks

Asked by: Obiwan
This will only generate up to 49 there are no updates planned to resolve this, as the item is more intended for the fun and education of the build.
