What can I do with this kit?
Make yourself a bright red torch with this kit. Red torches are commonly used where you need light to see by, but don’t want to degrade your night vision – for example when setting up your telescope for stargazing. With five parts, this is a simple kit that is suitable for all ability levels.

What can I learn from this kit?
Practise your soldering and see how the components fit together in a circuit. This kit uses a switch, resistor and an LED to create a basic circuit which gives you light. Red light causes your eyes to dilate less than white light, and therefore allows you to preserve your night vision. This kit requires a soldering iron and may require wire cutters.

How easy is this to solder?
A great introduction to electronics, this kit is simple to follow and assemble. Once you’ve made the kit you could add to it with an enclosure to protect the circuit or mount it where it will be most use. You could even use it as a red light for model applications. This kit requires a single CR2025 battery (not included).

We can see no reason why not, but unfortunately are unable to comment as we do not have the wireing diagram for the item.
