Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very effective light, suitable to be switched on and looked at, but not suitable for children to play with/tip it at different angles or it doesn't rotate properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TARDIS accessory My son has a TARDIS play tent. because it opens up in the middle, it has no light or even a picture of the top light printed on it. This placed on top completes the effect perfectly. I agree that it doesn't stand up well to knocks, though. It is bright and very effective, particularly in dim or dark rooms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good when its working I bought one of these at the very reasonable sale price of £4.99. It wouldn't work at first. I had to free up the rotating mechanism which was stuck. It works well now.

Asked by: bent
If illuminated then yes , they are designed not to be fitted into cars/vans , but they are for lighting effects for discos, bedrooms etc.

How fast does this rotate and is it the bulb or the glass that is blue ? I need a rotating light as I am building an ornamental lighthouse in my garden.

Asked by: jonc
This is roughly 2 rotations per second (but this would vary based on the batteries used) and it is the shield which rotates, which is made of plastic not glass.
