What can I use this bullet microphone for?
The miniature bullet CCTV microphone can be used to add audio monitoring to any cameras you may have already. With standard DC and phono connections at the end of the microphone, the camera is compatible and easy to add to various CCTV systems.

What do I need to get this microphone working?
The microphone is supplied with DC and phono connections and to record to a DVR there are various different ways to get it started. One method would be to get a standard power supply (e.g. Order Code N93JU) and either a single phono cable (e.g. Order Code A98NW) or single phono to twin phono (e.g. Order Code A40NX) – depending on the DVR. Alternatively if you wanted to run the microphone slightly further away you could get a BNC and power extension cable (e.g. Order Code N65JN) with phono plug to BNC socket adapters (e.g. Order Code FE88V) and the standard power supply.

Will this work with a Sentient system we bought from maplins a couple of years ago and can I add more than one (to different cameras)? Also can you attach a longer lead? Thanks

Asked by: Blondie
Yes, I am pleased to advise this will be fine on our older systems and yes you can add a longer cable, the option to add multiple mics does depend on the system you have.

Hi, could you please tell me what the frequency range of the microphone. I recently bought a similar product with a range 100 Hz to 2 KHz and unfortunately it would not record the noise that I am trying to record which seems to be around 90 Hz.

Asked by: Jeff
Unfortunately, we have not been provided with this information as this is just a standard mic for picking up voices etc for CCTV.

Can I fit this directly to my CCTV system I bought from Maplins item code Code: A30UN

Asked by: Anonymous
You would need to connect the signal cable using a single RCA cable of the desired length as well as wiring the microphone into a 12v DC power supply. Once powered and connected in this will offer audio support for that DVR.

Can this be used as a standalone, ie, above the front door... Cameras are at either end of property but too far away for audio.

Asked by: Joey
These do need to be attached and powered by the camera .

The mic in question will connect directly back to the audio input on the Swann DVR unit. It will be powered by a separate 12 volt Swann power supply. Is there any foreseeable problem with this particular arrangement?

Asked by: Edgar
there should be no problem with that set up
