What is the advantage of a mobile PMR unit?
Create a communication hub in your office or secure your two-way radio communications in your vehicle with the Mobi mobile two-way radio. Ten times more powerful than PMR 446 units, this is perfect for travelling in convoy or for a central contact on site. You will require a Business Radio Light Licence for use – one licence covers an unlimited number of handsets. The licence is just £75 for 5 years, and you can apply for one using the application form included in the box.* The radio requires a 13.8V regulated power supply (not included) and comes with a 10A fused lead to connect to. It features a compact design and is useful for any stationary location or installed in a vehicle. No need for a call plan or wired communication, this is a great alternative to mobile phones or traditional handheld PMR units.

How far can this radio transmit messages?
This radio is capable of reaching its maximum distance of up to 25km in open country under ideal conditions. In built up areas and cities with obstacles between handsets, the radio is still capable of up to 10km – perfect for work sites, motorbike convoys or even schools and universities. The Mitex Pro PMR broadcasts in the 400-470 MHz ultra-high frequency (UHF) range to get better signal at distance. The radio also has two different channel spans and steps to give you more options.

How many channels does this two-way radio have?
Never run out of channels with 128 to choose from. Use the scan function to find your channel quickly and easily. You can also use a headset with the radio to cut down on ambient noise or for more covert communications. The radio requires a compatible antenna (not included) the radio has a built in SO239 or a BNC antenna can be used with an adapter (recommended antennas are Order Codes N25JJ & A33RU).

How much power does my radio need?
Power your radio from you car or use a 13.8V mains power supply to use it in the office. With a compact size (135mm x 40mm x 145mm) it is easy to fit on a desk or dashboard. The radio is easily mounted using the supplied mounting brackets. The radio is pre-programmed and is ready to go with a suitable power supply (not included)
