About this product

Product overview

• Twin pack red Motorola T40 two-way radios
• Keep in touch at work or in the country
• Get in contact up to 4km away
• 8 channels on each of the PMR 446 handsets
• Requires six AAA batteries (Order Code L40BF)
• No licence required

When would I use these PMR radios?
These compact and colourful two-way radios are perfect for family days out and camping trips. No need for a call plan or licence, these walkie-talkies are the ideal alternative to mobile phones. These PMR radios use the licence-free 446 MHz frequency band for communication between the two units. The radios come with easy to read backlit LCD displays and belt chips to secure your radios.

How far will these radios reach?
These two-way radios can reach up to 4km under ideal conditions. They are still effective in built up areas or with obstacles between handsets, though the maximum range will be reduced. This is a great radio for groups on trips or at home.

How many channels do these two-way radios have?
Simple and easy to use with just 8 channels. Set a common channel and activate the key lock so no one can miss messages by accidentally changing channel. Let someone know you want to talk to them with the call tone. The roger bleep tells you when someone has stopped talking so you can respond.

What batteries does my PMR 446 radio use?
Keep in touch for up to 16 hours with three AAA batteries(not included) per handset. Each handset has a battery indicator to give you plenty of warning when you need to change the batteries.
