Rated 1 out of 5 by from the black casing is about a 1m long and the actual antenna inside is less than half the length of the casing. your better off what i did. went out bought copper piping and wired it up better signal and more frequencies come through. i brought it home opened the box the cap was broke. the whole structure is flimsy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this last week and have mounted on my house chimney at around 17meters high. I am based in Wigan and can receive a high amount with this antenna. I use this in conjunction with the GRECOM PSR-295 SCANNER and can receive a huge amount of stations including a wide range of military and civil frequencies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This antenna really does the trick. Better still it allows transmission across many of the bands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even used as a 'loft' antenna the Multiscan will put to shame any handheld/rubber duck you may already own. Previously unheard of signals will 'boom' in, making you wonder how you managed without one! In addition, Its well built and discrete, consequently keeping the neighbours happy. Detailed performance wise, its a wideband antenna, thus a 'jack of all trades, master of none. As with all such designs there is a variance across the bands. I found the lower freq's (CB etc) bought in more background noise than, say, 400mhz HAM range. Airband bought in moderate 'skip', more than I'd like and departs from what seems to be common on 'widebands' nowadays in that Airband is the 'cleanest' reception. Thats said, don't let these latter comments put you off - spend more or get a dedicated Antenna! and as mentioned its a great antenna, you will be impressed. To get any better and address the niggles I mentioned will cost you alot more - I was comparing against a 'Double discone' design costing over double the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This antenna is far better than my discone. I would recommend it. Moonraker always 100% as far as I am concerned.
