Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really bonds metal to glass I purchased tis item to repair my glass top inning table (one leg had become detached). It worked really well and gave a good clear metal to glass bond. Make sure that you clean off all of the old bonding glue on the metal leg top I used 800 grit wet or dry and used a blade scraper to remove any traces rom the glass, then clean both surfaces with Acetone, apply a layer of MXBOND to the to of the leg and bond together. This glue is UV activated (best done in sunlight and left for 24 hours) I placed a heavy box on the table but NOT over the bonded area. Job done

Hello, I've three questions if I may: Is this an ultraviolet light-curing glue? If so, is it of the type that once cured, will have a sticky (oxygen inhibited) surface? Is it flexible when dried or rigid? Thanks.

Asked by: Poppyburner
The glue does not need UV to cure, it will dry to a hard rigid finish.

I bought this glue from Maplns to repair a crack in my hob. But it won't set after several hours. How to make it set? Sunlight or cloudy conditions required, but I can't take the hob outside. I opened the window to let in light but that hasn't worked.

Asked by: govinda
We would not advise the use of it on a Hob due to extreme temperatures.
