Why do I need this range extender?
The NETGEAR N300 wireless range extender offers a simple solution for a weak Wi-Fi signal. The N300 can repeat an existing wireless signal and expand its broadcast range, making it ideal for giving web access to portable devices such as smartphones, tablets or laptop computers at a distance.
A WPS button allows you to pair the range extender with your wireless router quickly, allowing you to get up and running in no time. Smart LED indicators display the current signal strength to the router, allowing you to optimally position the range extender to give you the most signal coverage.

Does this range extender have any wired connections?
The inclusion of a 10/100 Fast Ethernet port allows the range extender to act as a wireless bridge for media devices that lack wireless capabilities. Connect your games console, smart television or set top box to your network to provide them with internet access without using long runs of Ethernet cable.

What is NETGEAR Wi-Fi Analytics?
Available for Android only, NETGEAR WiFi Analytics provides you with useful tools to help monitor wireless connections to your range extender. View the status of your wireless connections and monitor each 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz band for interference. The strength of the signal linked to your main router can be tracked and monitored to ensure that you have optimal positioning for your wireless range extender. Wi-Fi signal strength of each device can be viewed to allow you to make sure your wireless signal is where you need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant!! I bought this for a better wifi signal upstairs and it's done just that there's no more buffering and utube plays continuously without to have to catch up and the quality stays the same instead of dropping to a lower resolution great buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Non-connectivity Ongoing helpdesk conversation with Netgear over the last 24 hours - this item will NOT see a netgear wireless router only a couple of feet way on trying the set up procedures and next to a printer that is wi-fi and connected to the wi-fi network - totally frustrated

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has exceeded my expectations I recently had an extension added to my house and bought a smart TV for that room. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that if I attempted to watch any internet streamed content then the tv would constantly buffer. I had also hooked up a PlayStation to play internet games and the wifi was constantly dropping off resulting in the game ceasing to work. It wasn't an option to use TP links (which I have used in the past to some success) as the extension had a different consumer supply to it. I must admit I was influenced by other reviews of this product and I took the plunge- although I was still sceptical that it would do a job for me. Two weeks after purchasing this extender it has worked flawlessly- I even have the PlayStation up and running via a network cable into the extender which then sends the data ( via wifi) back to the router and up to now there has been no discernable drop in speeds! It's a though I am cabled directly into the router- it's that good. It's also a doddle to set up and I was up and running within 30 minutes of taking it out of the box. Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says Purchased this a very poor WiFi with a TalkTalk router in my shop. Had to get laptop to within 6ft to receive a decent signal! After an easy configuration the problem was gone and I'm now receiving a great WiFi signal and speed is excellent. I'm now behind a wall approx. 20ft away. Would thoroughly recommend, did the trick for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from wow this really does not work Bought the other day and have tried and tried to install it. To no avail. Netgear help is useless. I have installed extenders before with no problems but this one is just wrong. I bought it in store so now have to go return it. Unhappy. Might try another brand.

Hi is it possible to replace these antennas with another higher gain counterpart? I appreciate the SNR may be a factor. I am looking for a repeater/extender with ideally sma ports.

Asked by: Daniel
I'm afraid the antenna's are not replaceable , nor would we recommend modifying products as it would void our warranty.

Is this Netgear N300 wifi range extender compatible with a PLW1000 access point? I have just installed the PLW with one adapter point, but would like another one. Alternatively, is it possible to buy the adapter for this by itself?
