Records reliable and accurate footage
The NextBase Duo is fitted with two cameras to record events both inside the vehicle and in front of the vehicle in 720p HD quality, to help reduce insurance quotes and for proof when making a claim after an accident. With sufficient lighting, the dash cam can even capture events at night, thanks to the WDR image processer installed. The built-in G-sensor will allow the dash cam to record any impacts or sudden course changes so that footage of any accidents are protected on the memory card, while the built-in GPS allows for the vehicle’s exact position and route to be recorded. A date and time stamp is also included on the recording to prevent any dispute.

Protects your important recordings
The dash cam records directly onto a class 10 microSD card, up to 32GB, which is installed into the slot on the unit (memory card not supplied) to record up to four and a half hours of footage. When the memory card becomes full, an auto loop function will allow the dash cam to begin recording over the existing video files in chronological order. Once the memory card is installed, the dash cam can be suction mounted directly onto the windscreen and is powered with a built-in battery or in-car power supply. Once the engine is running, the camera will automatically start recording so that any event is captured and recorded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what i have been looking for!!!! I went into my local store as I was looking for an option that I could record both the rear of the vehicle and the front and after speaking to the helpful staff member this was the obvious choice. There does not seem to be any other options and this coming from Nextbase, I was confident that it would work well. Footage is really clear and it is so easy to use, definitely the right choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The card issue means you haven't updated you duo I bought the Nextbase Duo and after a week the card issue started, I then called Nextbase whom were very helpful and explained the Nextbase Duo needs updating. It took about 10 minutes to update through my laptop and problem fixed. I haven't had the issue again and the unit now works brilliantly. A great purchase, just update the unit as soon as you buy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very hit and miss! I bought this at the Maplin store in Livingston a month ago. The Manager was very helpful and set it up for me. It worked fine for two weeks then the problems started. It would switch on and off for no reason and then had problems with the SD Card. Card was changed but still had problems with the unit. Took it back to my local Maplin, the guys were very helpful but I took a refund. Very disappointed with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Constant Problems Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I bought my first unit in Sept 2015. This started cutting out all the time however once i called NextBase to advise them of the issue, they diagnosed it was the cable at fault. NextBase sent me a brand new cable in the post, which then made the camera work perfectly....until it then had a 'card issue'. I then had to keep 'formatting' the card (when it had reached full capacity) so it would then record. I reported this issue to NextBase who advised that there are compatibility issues with certain SD cards and they recommend to use an SD Card from the brand 'SanDisk'. Having thought about how much I paid for the camera, considering there are cheaper ones on the market, I realised that I shouldn't be putting up with these problems and took the unit back at the beginning of February 2016. I was then given a brand new unit as the first one was faulty. I also took NextBase's advise and bought a SanDisk SD Card for £19, hoping there should now be no issues with the second unit. How wrong was I to think that....3 weeks later I started experiencing the same problems with the second unit...cutting out and 'card error', so took this unit back straight away and asked for a full refund. Great camera when it works, video quality is fantastic, however not worth the hassle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs improving Worked flawlessly at first, then came the widely reported "Card Error" which came up after about 20 mins use. Give Maplins they're due, they first replaced the card then replaced the unit then finally a full refund. Reading a lot of reviews it seems like a common fault with this particular model, maybe they just rushed it through development without sufficient testing. Shame as I liked it, I've now replaced it with a Transcend Pro 520.

How do I know the cam will record when car is parked. Cam turns off when engine is off. Do I have to set it.

Asked by: Linda
Hello Linda, the camera will power off if it is on an ignition live power source whether you have parking mode enabled or not (this is normal). Parking mode will then turn on the camera and record a 30 second clip if the G-Sensor is triggered.
