Rated 1 out of 5 by from Firstly thanks for the refund, because despite my best efforts this simply could not be programmed to speak to my mother-in-law's Goodman TV. The instructions that came in the box are poorly written and in addition gadget did not respond in the way that the instructions said that it would. The instructions on the website are different from the printed ones but they did not produce the required result either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very very old and very very bad. This really is a piece of old rubbish. For a Samsung TV (not exactly a rarity) you are given 20 different codes and you need to enter each one in turn and try the controller to see if it works. It's like some stupid puzzle. I managed to find one code that partially worked but several of the functions were swapped. I then managed to wipe the settings on the TV by pressing the mute button! Took ages to set it back up properly with the original remote. The remote itself is really quite old and obviously never updated. I doubt it will work on any TV with a "guide" button as it doesn't have one. So that's probably any TV made in the last 10 years. It's a nice idea, just sadly well past its sell by date.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought this for Father-In-Law. Didn't work on his TV, so tried it on mine, didn't work either. Checked the online manual, that didn't work either

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother Don't bother, save your money. What a load of tat. It's a novelty for maybe 5 seconds at most. I like a good laugh and like practical jokes etc but this is just ridiculous. Once you realize you'll have to point a huge great piece of plastic at your telly and use both hands, (cos there's no way you can use it one handed unless you're a monkey) you'll be cheesed off cos your fingers will never span across the buttons! Then when you manage to decipher the instructions, you'll find it won't control your telly anyway, so you'll be left with a useless plastic brick and you'll wonder where the heck your gonna put it. Forget it, it's pointless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well! We bought this for our 91yr old loved one who just could not manage the remote on her new large screen Panasonic as the key pad was hard to see and the buttons too small. It worked really well with the 3rd code used and was relatively easy to set up. We had been worried about buying this model as some of the reviews are poor but it works well for us. The only immediate drawback is that she found the remote rather heavy - hence the 4 stars (she is very frail!).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works for tosh tv, not Philips dvd Brought this specfically for a Philips did player that I've lost the remote for. It automatically found the toshiba tv I have but not the DVDs player. I can't find the online manual that is referred to on the product page. If I hadn't lost the receipt it would have gone back to the store, as it is it's a paperweight!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think this is brilliant. Works for my Sharp Aquos TV, but when the batteries died I had to come here to find the online manual, which I can't seem to find.

Hi, I have a BT Youview DTR-T2100 Box. The Auto power search and Auto Quick search functions seem to find the box and turn it off, but I can't get it to save the setting. What is the correct code for entering it manually? Thanks

Asked by: Vanessa
The relevant codes for this device can be found within the manual. If you did not receive a copy of the manual, this can be found within the downloads section towards the bottom of the page

I have a Samsung TV, have set the only code that works for Samsung (having tried all Samsung codes) however the buttons don’t correspond to the functions e.g. the volume buttons change the channel and vice versa. Is there any way around this?

Asked by: Fellippefalloppe17
Unfortunately this sounds like a non compatible handset for your TV.
