Rated 1 out of 5 by from bought this item about a month ago for a bedroom tv which I hardly ever used, always switched the aerial off when not in use, it worked ok for an indoor aerial, the other day I switched it on, the blue light came on for a second then went out; it no longer works, a complete waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor performance. I bought this aerial at the Maplins near oxford Circus just before the World Cup started. Tragically because my old one was knocked off its perch and broken. Throughout the world cup the reception has been patchy. Sometimes good, sometimes infuriatingly poor. It cannot have a good signal on both BBC and ITV (free view). I live in central london N1. With the nearest transmitter being in crystal palace. It also struggles to get channel 4/E4 without a considerable amount of fiddling. Changing channel has become somewhat labour intensive. Its ridiculous that i've paid more for this aerial and received a worse performance than one i've had for years which cost less. I really thought the booster would grant great reception, i was really wrong. My old antenna worked well, the location and TV remain the same, so i can only conclude that this is a bad aerial. There is another more expensive version of this type, perhaps because this one is really so unsatisfactory. I'm annoyed that i was unable to invite people over to watch the World cup matches with me because i could not rely on this aerial, we had to go elsewhere. It does look good but its functionality is far more important and its performance has been really disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does It For Me Our Kitchen TV's aerial was fed from an outside spur whose lead had rubbed away in the recent wind. We have had to have it fixed before and I'd promised to try an indoor powered aerial before we paid out again. Job done didnt even have to retune the tv or fiddle with the unit. Probably good luck as much as anything because reading the reviews it seems to be where you are is the most important factor in buying these units.
