Simply plug in your aerial feed to the back of the receiver, connect to the SCART input of the device (TV, VCR, DVD-R etc.) and after an initial tune you will pick up digital TV and radio stations. As this model has 2 SCART sockets, it can be plugged into a TV and VCR at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to buy a replacement digital box after my son spilt a drink on the last one and found this reasonably priced model on offer at my trusted local Maplin store so ventured to buy one. I wasn't disappointed with the set top box as it was easy to set up and very easy to operate. The menu navigation is responsive and I found a bonus feature that allows me to play movies from a usb drive which it played first time of trying and really is a very powerful feature allowing you to download youtube or other video media and play it on your home tv. All in all a very good box for your buck and thanks Maplins once again for selling me a great product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Standing by Good little box for the basics, but annoyingly goes into standby when you don't want it to with no option to leave it permanently on. Very irritating for multi-device setups. Wish I'd considered other options. This box is let down by one nuisance, but it's considerable one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for money Works fine. Only problem is we struggle with the remote - we have to stand close and keep pressing the buttons until they work, sometimes 4 times and then it'll take '22' instead of '2', say, so is frustrating if you're in a rush.

Hi, probably a silly question but i'll ask anyway. I'm having a bit of trouble with my freeview box. I have it connected to my tv via component cable, i have a picture but no sound. My question is, does it need to be a scart to scart cable to work?

Asked by: Chris
Go to Setup menu and find if there's a Multi Audio or somewhere where you can turn sound on or off.
