Product overview

• Mono Audio Recorder
• Up to 1040 Hours Recording Time (LP)
• 4 GB Built-in Memory
• Built in USB Connector
• Battery Life up to 110 Hours
• Automatic Recording Level Adjustment

As an excellent entry-level device the VN-741PC offers fine MP3 recording quality and 4GB memory enabling an outstanding recording time of more than 1040 hours in LP mode. As well as featuring probably the best low-noise microphone in it's class for superior sound reproduction, it also has a high-speed built in direct USB for organising and archiving recordings on a PC or Mac, or sharing them via e-mail – and all this with great ease. And the benefits don’t stop here either. They include the low-cut filter for noise reduction while recording, the Scene Select and Automatic Recording (VCVA) features and 99 Index Marks – all designed for maximum user-friendliness. With the addition of a new "Simple" Mode, operation becomes as easy as it gets even for beginners. Battery life on just two AAA batteries is up to 110 hours.

Can you record a mobile phone conversation with it, And down load the conversation to a computer.

Asked by: mick
Yes, I do this all the time. Connect a cable from the phone headphone socket to the recorder's microphone socket (you need a cable with a 3.5mm plug at both ends - Maplin sell them for a few quid), then connect your headphones to the recorder's headphone socket. Note that you will only be able to hear the phone conversation through the headphones while the device is recording. And you need to speak into the phone microphone, not the recorder microphone or any inline mic in your headphones.
