Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought 2 of these for use in my home which is 1.6 miles from Crystal Palace with a clear line of sight to the mast. Neither work. Again I find better results from a length of coax in a figure of eight pattern stuck to the back of the TV (until my little lad pulls it!). I tried it with and without the power injector and also with and without the injector powered. The aerial with the injector powered actually gave the worst results. Poor signal strength and even poorer quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased. Works well in the bedroom. Vastly superior to earlier indoor aerials for Analogue TV. Definitely helped by the digital changeover.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely useless I tried all over the bedroom & couldn’t get a thing, in fact the TV worked better with about 3 metres of areal wire going into the loft but not connected to anything.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap looking product. Can't get signal from window from which I can see the mast. Bought for caravan use but it produced no signal to speak of yet the little stick that came with laptop produced many channels. Waste of money in my opinion. Put behind a TV does not work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very impressed with this aerial! For an indoor aerial I was dubious whether it would be able to fix my reception issues... but I was very pleasantly surprised. It must be used with the included power supply to boost the gain. Nice long coaxial cable included too, so that you have a good range of positioning possibilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The aerial gives a perfect picture we were watching in a different area of the country so the TV needed retuning on automatic channel scan to the new aerial

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Location Warning I bought this for a friend moving into a new house as a temporary measure whilst awaiting a cable TV hookup. Totally useless. Unable to get any signal whatsoever. Line of sight, distance from transmitter, and signal levels in the area need to be checked before purchasing this product.

how does sv9215 connect to a dab radio with normal extendable arial.

Asked by: woody
Your dab radio would have to have some provision for attaching an external aerial.

Thanks Gavin, is there a product that can booster a signal in a specific location without being physically attached to the DAB radio ?

Asked by: Brian12
On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.

I use a personal radio with headphones but have no signal for dab radio at the sink, would this help boost the signal  and then the dab radio pick it up or would I need to connect the radio physically to this aerial - I want the freedom to move about.

Asked by: Brian12
This would need to be physically connected to the device in order to work I'm afraid.

What lead is required for this to be powered by a digital set top box and is it included? Can this be directly powered by a lead from a smart TV instead

Asked by: Dave
This can be used without the included power injector if the signal strength in the area is strong enough, in this instance the included coaxial cable will be enough from whichever source. Should the signal require boosting then you can try with the included power booster and its external power source. You cannot power the booster from the box or TV, but the aerial on its own can work without external power.

I live in an area where I get a signal from a welsh transmitter which on my present aerial overpowers the signal from winter hill will this aerial be better at picking up the correct transmission & and if not can I return it? I await your early reply

Asked by: Frank
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee aerials to meet the requirements of our customers signal strength needed as it all depends on the location of the device, as every place is different we couldn't confirm this. The item does come with a 30 day guarantee which if the item doesn't suite your needs, can be returned as long as the item/details meet the requirements for the return.
