Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKS A TREAT! I live in a dip in the land. Next door houses have 10-15 ft + poles on chimneys with Aerials on, bought this (Edmonton) they said it would be ok, I was sceptical, so I tried it in the loft just to see if it got any picture at all, bingo all channels, so I have fixed it in the loft, note it only works when powered with the adaptor as it isn't a passive Aerial, so you must power it up to get a signal. I was amazed by how good this is. Note, instructions not in the box on mine, but reasonably intuative, and I guess if you wanted to split the signal you'd have to do this after the power connector, tried the OfO help desk via email, not much use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Muich BetterThan Expected Bought a few days ago after finding it impossible to get Freeview HD upstairs. I didn't pant to start cutting and joining the coaxial from my roof aerial, so tried this, fully expecting to have to get the ladder out and fix it outside. However I thought I'd give it a quick go as an indoor aerial first. What a surprise! More HD channels than I can shake a stick at, and more channels overall than I have ever had with Freeview before. All perfectly sharp, clear and stable. Great result and no ladders required! Would highly recommend to anyone. Buy it with the intention of fitting it to a wall outside and you too might have a pleasant surprise if you try it as an indoor aerial first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good piece of kit We had a 20 foot mast plus booster and were getting 37 channels. Tried this propped on a ladder and got 100 channels. Put it on a 6 foot mast and got 130 channels. Not bad for a bungalow in a valley surrounded by trees and houses. Well worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I bought this aerial because there was no TV socket in my sons bedroom. I read the reviews and did my homework checking how far away my postcode was from the nearest transmitters. There are three, the nearest 8 miles away, then 17 and finally 26 miles away. I choose this aerial because it has a range of 30 miles, it can be used indoors or out, has a variety of specifications such as blocking interference from 3G sand 4G phones. It also is suitable for 4K ultra TVs and has a booster switch. Very easy to set up and picked up all the freeview channels. Very

Where to install is your choice, ideally an aerial should be mounted as high as possible with clear line of sight in the direction of the transmitter.

We need to get a new cable for this after cutting the end off to thread through a hole to the outside. Is this something you sell separately? It also needs to be a far longer cable to go up the side of the house. Thank you

Asked by: Roderick
On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.

How do I find out which way to point the aireal at the transmitter

Asked by: Millie99
The position this should be facing depends on the signal strength that the aerial picks up.

would this be suitable for panasonicstereo  sc-pm250 b and would it have the right connector.also direction and location instructions

Asked by: peter
This should be fine for use with that stereo as it ends in a standard coaxial plug. Ideally you would want to place this on the outside wall facing your closest transmission tower.
