Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me alot of Money! I got a new graphics card today only seeing that it has to have a 6 pin pci-e cable and my psu from maplin did not have one :( so i went to see if there was away around but there was not but someone told me i can get one of these so i opened my case to see 2 molex cables being used but they had a connection so the fan goes in first then it outputs a molex cable so i was unsure if it would work so i went and got one to find out it worked yay also the staff at maplin yeovil are very nice someone asked if i needed any help and person at til was very good :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cable saved my life. My PSU had enough power for my new GPU but it needed 2 6-pin inputs instead of just one. Since my PSU was not modular, I had a few 4-pin cables left unused, and this did the trick like magic. My GPU is now working properly with full graphics and the cable has not suffered at all. But you have to have a good PSU for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High end graphics cards needing extra power I purchased a Ge Force GTX 970 Graphics card for my son as a Christmas present. It needed two 6 pin connectors for additional power, which left us one short. Picked up this cable on Boxing Day and problem solved....thanks Maplin

would this support a geforce gt 140 with a 500 watt psu?

Asked by: bcos
This would allow the graphics card to connect to 2 x molex connections, but we could not advise if it would be suitable as it would depend on the maximum amps per rail the power supply could handle vs the amp draw for the gt 140.

My motherboard has single 6 pin output for power, will this plug into motherboard and allow me to a plug a molex powered hard drive into one of the molex 4 pin plugs and another device on other 4 pin molex or will I need a converter for the 4 pin molex?

Asked by: David
No, this is to allow a 6 pin graphic card to use the two molex from a power supply that would not normally support this.

Will this allow me to connect an EVGA Supernova 750W PSU to my GeForce GTX470 graphics card to provide the second 6 pin power connection, or could I use two standard pci 6 pin to 6 pin connections? (Or would that blow up my card!?)

Asked by: Mercatoris
I am pleased to advise the product you mentioned will do exactly what you require.

The PSU in my new system only has 1 spare LP4 connector, I am attaching it tp a GTX750ti wil this cable be alright?

Asked by: Suggs
Presuming the 12V rails can handle the amps the 750ti requires then yes, this will be suitable.
