About this product

Product overview

• Stream your local music library and any music apps from your smartphone or tablet to a Hi-Fi system
• Uses Bluetooth v2.1, which is found on almost all smart devices, to send the music wirelessly
• Has a twin phono (RCA) and 3.5mm jack to connect the adapter to your Hi-Fi system
• You don’t have to be near the adapter to stream your musical content over thanks to the 10 metres range

What can I do with the adapter?
Transform your existing Hi-Fi, PC speaker or speaker system into a wireless one with this Bluetooth Hi-Fi adapter. Stream all your music from your smartphone, tablet and any other Bluetooth-enabled devices to your new wireless system through Bluetooth. Any apps that you usually use to listen to your music can also be streamed to the speakers. You don’t need to be close to the adapter to stream either, with a range of up to 10 metres you can stand a fair distance away and still have your music transmitted over.

How do I connect it to my current sound system?
You can connect the adapter to almost any Hi-Fi, PC speaker or other speaker system due to its standard analogue twin phono (RCA) and 3.5mm ports. Simply connect the adapter, and you’re ready to play music from your smartphone, tablet and other-Bluetooth enabled device to your newly Bluetooth enabled sound system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic bit of kit I bought this so I could connect my phone to my PA system wirelessly. It does this really well. Takes seconds to get up and running from out of the box with no loss of clarity on the music being played. My only criticism is the audio lead connecting the Phillips unit to my mixer is only 50cm long and should really be longer for better placement. But for £24.99 I really can't fault it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item Very easy to connect and pair with phone. I use it to stream radio using the radio player app to the kitchen hifi which is now neatly hidden away in a cupboard and the speakers on the wall, a very neat solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple effective bluetooth I bought this adapter to play the sound from my tablet through my hifi. It was easy to connect to the hifi amplifier via the supplied lead (3.5mm jack end goes into the adapter and the phono plugs ends go into a suitable input at the hifi amplifier). It paired with my tablet immediately and has not dropped its pairing since it was installed 10 days ago. Sound quality is just as good as connecting the tablet direct to the amplifier. The device is small and unobtrusive and sits happily on top of the amplifier. Simple and effective little device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Literally ready to use out of the box! I bought this to use with my hifi and connect to my iTunes, I had bought another brand previously which I sat for an hour trying to pair, it never happened! This is brilliant, straight out of the box I didn't even have to touch it apart from connecting the wires and it paired instantly. Great buy, highly recommended.

i have a non Bluetooth stereo and non Bluetooth iPod, would this work with both of these and could I connect Bluetooth headphones to it?

You can connect the adapter to almost any Hi-Fi, PC speaker or other speaker systems due to its standard analogue twin phono (RCA) and 3.5mm ports. Simply connect the adapter, and you’re ready to play music from your smartphone, tablet and other-Bluetooth enabled device to your newly Bluetooth enabled sound system. This would not allow you to connect bluetooth headphones to the stereo however.

Hi, would this enable my Marantz, non bluetooth, to become bluetooth so I can transmit to my bluetooth speaker.

Asked by: eezablade
No, this is a Bluetooth receiver, designed to enable a Bluetooth transmitter, such as a mobile phone, to transmit to a non Bluetooth speaker or sound system with a 3.5mm or twin RCA auxiliary input.
