What makes these headphones better for sport than ordinary headphones?

A number of features of these headphones make them ideal for exercise and sport alike.

The flexible neckband design auto adjusts to your head to create a perfect and secure fit. This ensures maximum comfort during those extended workout sessions and long runs. Another added benefit of neckband earphones is that you can run the cable up your back or sleeve, allowing you to be almost wire-free during your session.

The closed design of the earpieces provides fantastic ambient noise isolation and improves the bass response of the headphones, so you can focus on your music and workout and nothing more.

Being totally sweat and water resistant, there is no worry of the earpieces slipping out of place. An extra bonus of this feature is that because they are sweat resistant, they are more protected against grime and dirt, which increases the lifespan of the headphones.

An easily overlooked feature is the reflective stopper located in the cable of the earphones, which when the cable is ran outside of clothing warns oncoming traffic of your presence during night runs.

What devices can I connect to these headphones?

Thanks to coming with a standard 3.5mm jack plug, these headphones can be connected to a plethora of everyday devices. These include: smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and computers - so wherever you may be, you can enjoy these headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality product for great price I don't normally review stuff, but these are by far the best headphones I have ever owned for running. I've never owned the neckband style before, but for £26 they are very, very good value and definitely worth a punt. They grip to your head really well, no movement whatsoever which is exactly what you want when you're pounding the pavements. They're light weight and comfortable, I don't even feel like I've got them on once I get going. Sound quality is excellent, can go very loud and bassy while still staying clear. They even come with 3 sets of different sized gel buds so you can get the perfect fit. Also in the box is cloth bag for transportation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from good sound but disappointingly fragile I was given these headphones as a gift, and initially i was very pleased with the design and sound quality. Having lived with them for a few months now, one of the ear bud connections has failed, along with the wire, so they only work on one side. To the best of my knowlege they have not been roughly treated, and they've been kept in their little bag in my kit bag. The construction of the earbud to the headband seems very fragile when you look in detail. Very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable and comfortable I've had a set of these for a couple of years now. Although the sound may be a notch below the Sennheiser's these replaced, these do exactly what they say on the tin. I find them hardly noticeable in use due to the light weight and don't hurt even after a couple of hours. These are definitely sweatproof with no evidence of rust I could see, unlike my previous Sennheiser's. In a nutshell, best running headphones for me and just ordered a replacement pair, which after a couple of years use seems a decent lifespan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead after the second run Decided to give Philips SHQ4200 a try after using different versions of a competing brand for five years or so. SHQ4200 produce good sound and are a comfortable fit, but they were dead after the second 40 min run, so are a complete waste of money. As a benchmark, a pair of competing headphones usually lasted me for more than a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these I am on my 4th pair (over 10yrs). Like another reviewer said they are quite fragile, the neckband warped on one of mine. Saying that these are they only headphones i have found that are secure and give a great sound whilst I'm running. I am about to buy another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yet Tested them out today, I have struggled with various bud earphones over the years most of which continuously slip out once I get a sweat on so I opted for a banded fit. Very light, comfortable fit and good quality sound, great value for money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Found them great I run around 12-20 miles per week with these. I have found them comfy to wear with great sound. I really like them. I have had them around a year now, but i've lost a little ear bud and still look to a part replacement

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product quality is poor... did not last... After <10 runs, the product failed. Not the quality I expect from such a brand.

What's the difference between the shq4200 and the shq4300? Apart from the price.

Asked by: Brett
The shq4200 is naturally the older model, we would expect the shq4300 to provide better sound quality and comfort of use.
