Why should I get the GoGEAR Vibe MP3 player?
The GoGEAR Vibe is perfect for someone who loves to take their favourite music, videos and pictures on the go with them, whether they’re commuting to work or going on holiday. With its built-in 4GB memory, you will be able to store up to 900 of your favourite songs. The 1.8-inch LCD display screen will show you what you are listening too, let you select which video you want to watch and help organise your files without having to plug the MP3 player into your computer.

Charge the GoGEAR in five minutes!
Sometimes you’ll want to use the GoGEAR Vibe when commuting back and forth from work or the gym, it can be frustrating to find you’ve forgotten to charge it up. With GoGEAR Vibe’s Fast Charge function, however, five minutes of charging can result in up to 90 minute’s worth of playback, so you’ll never have a silent journey to the office or a dull workout again. Fast Charge uses high current levels to give your lithium-ion battery the power it needs to keep the music going. This Philips MP3 player has a long lasting battery that will last up to 20 hours on continuous audio playback and up to four hours of video playback. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy music on long journeys.

What does FullSound and SafeSound technology do?
FullSound technology restores every detail of your compressed MP3 music files, enriching and enhancing them so your music sounds how it is meant to sound. The SafeSound feature lets you enjoy your music freely and fully without worrying about risking damage to your hearing. Constantly analysing the volume level on your GoGEAR Vibe, SafeSound alerts you if the volume could impact on your long-term hearing.

Keep your music collection organised
Folder view offers a dictionary view of all music stored on the GoGEAR Vibe, which lets you view all the files as if it were a computer. This features allows you to organise and view your media files without having to plug the GoGEAR Vibe into your computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product surpassed all of my expectations I recently bought this little beauty second hand as I had broken the audio jack on my phone and intended to use it occasionally when I go for walks or while commuting.... The software (songbird especially) is brilliant - so clean and easy to use that I've started using songbird as my standard music player when I'm listening on my PC! As for the device, I was suprised by the sound quality and even more suprised by the maximum volume - I use large monitor headphones that were really meant for use with an amp and ideally other DJ equipment but the Vibe allows me to listen at fairly high volume while I'm out and about - Fantastic! Philips...I thank you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissappointed with product Brought this as it looked like it would make an excellent Christmas present, but definitely will not be giving it. The product looks quite good but being unable to listen to an album in it's intended order, as they are alphabetized, makes it unfit for purpose. Other issues I found were that Album titles were cut short (and didn't scroll through, like with the songs) and one was given "unknown title" which was showing as known when device was hooked up to pc, also folders that showed as empty on the pc contained demo videos and photo's on the device. This product might be ok if just used for shuffle, but unless a fix is put in to play albums in intended order I would not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor replacement for a previous GO Gear Vibe This GO Gear Vibe is very annoying and frustrating and seems to be a backwards step to my previous model. Lots of things wrong - it transfers the artists music alphabetically and not in the original format. Transfer a 3 CD mix set and it lists them all as 1 album and then alphabetically. The breaks in the music are driving me mad!!! Also no album art just symbols? A big step backwards to the previous model. If I could return this I would but it is not faulty and the store I purchased it from do not allow refunds on MP4 players. I really liked my old Go Gear but I have only had this player less than a month and I now hardly use it (unlike my old model)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and excellent performance Bought this to replace my previous GoGear Vibe that did not survive the washing machine. This player is simple to use , easy to load music, which is what I primarily use if for. Really like the Fullsound feature. Nice size screen to watch video, certainly better than previous model. You don't get the album art as screen background on this model but that is really is not an issue for me. This does have the folder option for locating your content which I also appreciate as this allows you to listen to music in the order it is on the CD rather than alphabetic order of the tracks that you get with the Album option. All in all , pretty pleased with this especially as the price was heavily discounted.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from an step back: old vibe is better? This is my third go gear vibe mp3 player. I had to of 4 gb and i was very pleased overall. But the 8 gb version is really bad in comparison: I have no radio, the display does not show photo album when played, the speaker has less quality than the previous one, updating the firmware was a nightmare (i have to download Philips Device Manager to update it, because the option did not appear on Songbird), when you scrolldown the songs the screen updates and it feels like a second blink. I loved the two old ones i had. I been using this one for less than a day and i want to return it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MP3 player with Folders This product is one of the few MP3 players which use Folders. I run a Country Dance Course and put my tunes onto the player. I have 20 tunes in square Dance and 45 in Circle dances etc. I can copy these from my computer and they stay in the same folders on the Gogear Vibe. I have over 170 tunes in various folders and it works beautifully. Other MP3 players sort the tunes in Genre, Album etc and the original name of the tune, which I do not want, so top marks for the Gogear Vibe

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs firmware changes Bought this today, like it overall but there are two major annoyances: 1) As mentioned by others, it plays songs in alphabetical order. Why isn't there an option to play songs in album order? This is a basic feature. 2) The limiter on the volume control, which pops up every time I try to alter the volume, is an annoyance. Surely there could be an option to switch this off? This is annoying when you're trying to change the volume while walking around, which is what these little gizmos are for. I'd appreciate an actual answer as to whether these problems will be addressed by a firmware update, as responses I've seen to other commenters have been, frankly, not worth writing. As a customer, I'd prefer not to be placated by "We'll pass that on to our development team", as that invariably means nothing.
