Product overview

• 45W continuous (RMS) output with 80W peak output for a clear quality audio
• An active speaker that has a built-in amplifier
• Great for a smaller venue, in a studio or at home
• XLR, 6.35mm and phono (RCA) input for maximum compatibility with audio equipment

How powerful is this speaker?
This monitor speaker will be ideal for making your DJ set go with a bang as its compact design of the monitor speaker makes use of the 80W peak output and will allow you to easily position the S-DJ50X easily and quickly.

What connections does this speaker come with?
The Pioneer S-DJ50X comes fitted with three inputs to allow you to connect a wide range of products to this system. The monitor speaker comes with a 6.35mm (1&quarter; inch) socket and XLR socket to connect a variety of products such as mixers and microphones. The system is also fitted with a phono (RCA) socket to allow input from multiple audio devices.

Does the speaker require an amplifier?
This is an active speaker with a built-in amplifier. This means that you can connect an iPod or CD player directly to the speaker for it to play.

What is the difference between RMS and peak output?
RMS, which measures a speaker’s average power output, will allow you to compare various speakers of a similar size regardless of brand. The peak output is the maximum power the speaker can handle from the amplifier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome monitors for a DJ setup I got pair of these speakers together with Pioneer DDJ ERGO controller, and what a heart pounding bass and very clear top end. Once I got them I used Phono RCA cables, for better sound i would suggest using balanced XLR cables instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great speakers... I trusted my instincts when it came to buying speakers (especially active) in buying branded. As usual Pioneer deliver the goods - these are really great speakers. The sound is crisp and very clear, and they don't distort AT ALL when cranked up. I use these to run my decks through in a small room at home - you really don't need more than a couple of these for this purpose. Great quality, highly recommended!!

Can I purchase just 1 speaker to connect to my DJJWego3 controller?

Asked by: Sylatopse
This is sold as a single speaker, the only downside if you are working with a stereo image is you would only hear half of the mix unless you combined the stereo output into a single mono jack or XLR plug.

These speakers are not wall mountable unfortunately. They would require a bracket.

What leads would I need to be able to plug it into a DDJ-SB2 and my Mac if I got 2 speakers?

Asked by: Charlie
You could connect each speaker to the DDJ-SB2 via standard phono (RCA) connectors, such as http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-essentials-twin-phono-rca-cable-15m-a80nu to connect to mac you would need a 3.5mm to phono cable such as http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-essentials-35mm-stereo-jack-aux-to-twin-phono-rca-cable-15m-a77nu
