What features does this IP camera have?
The Piper Classic is a wireless indoor IP security camera designed for you to watch live or recorded footage from your smartphone or tablet – anytime, anyplace and without monthly fees. All you will have to do is install the camera and download the Piper app onto your iOS or Android smartphone or tablet. The industry-leading 180-degree field of view gives you the option to pan, tilt, zoom and view in split screen. This way, you can explore all corners of the room while watching live or recorded footage. Piper Classic also includes two-way audio, which allows you to use the IP camera as an intercom to check in and interact with family or pets using a built-in microphone.

What else can the camera do for me?
Piper Classic has three fully customisable security modes: ‘armed away’, ‘armed stay’ and ‘disarmed’, so you are in full control of your home even when you’re away. ‘Armed away’ is to be used when no one is home, ‘armed stay’ is to be used when everyone is home, and ‘disarmed’ means Piper Classic is not enforcing the security rules you’ve set, but still providing all the other features. Both motion and loud sounds can be detected with the precise built-in motion sensor and high quality microphone. The Piper Classic will let you know what is going on at home while you’re away and, when events happen, will notify you via push messages, texts, emails or phone calls, or even a combination of all four.

Can I view the footage remotely?
Downloading the Piper application from the app store on your smartphone or tablet will allow you to watch your Piper Classic’s footage, live or recorded, wherever you are. Piper devices are compatible with Z-Wave devices, so you will be able to create your own home automation network. An example of this would be automating, scheduling and remotely controlling lights and appliances directly from the Piper app with the help of a smart switch, micro smart switch or dimmer. Setting up door and window sensors so that Piper sends you an alert and takes action if there is a security breach is another prime example of how you can use home automation to improve your home security.

How easy is the camera's set up?
Once you have placed batteries into the Piper Classic or plugged in the power cable and placed the camera in a desired location you are ready to download the Piper app to your smart device. The first step is to create your Piper account, then name and save your Piper camera on the app. When you have connected your camera to your home Wi-Fi the latest version of firmware if necessary and then the setup is complete. The Dashboard screen will appear after setup had finished and your Piper’s LED light should be showing green.

How much storage space do I get?
All footage recorded from the Piper is saved onto your smart device through the Piper app. The amount of recorded footage you can save, depends on how much storage is available on your smartphone or tablet. If your smartphone or tablet storage is saved onto a microSD card, you can easily upgrade your memory size to cater for the Piper Classic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great night vision! I use this camera to mostly monitor my pet cats when I'm not home and I love being able to speak to them through the 2 way audio! The night vision is so clear so it is perfect for viewing at night time too. I've only just found out that Piper can connect to sensors too so I want to connect a door and window sensor the the cat flap to monitor the cats sneaking in and out! Simple to use & easy to set up!! I would definitely recommend this product as a monitoring device for pets or babies!
