The LM4040 Breakout Board is designed for testing purposes as it always outputs a specific voltage. Use the LM4040 Breakout to make sure your multimeter is giving a correct reading. You can utilise this breakout board to test that your microcontroller’s conversion is accurate and precise. A great way to use this is for testing analogue to digital convertors as you will be generating 1 bit per millivolt.

How to get the most out of your project
If you’re looking to use the 4.096 reference you will need to power this breakout board with a minimum of 5 V, to use the 2.048 you can use as little as 3 V.
You cannot use this breakout board to power components and is only for reference and testing purposes.
The header pins allow for quick and easy attachment to a breadboard allowing for all your prototyping and testing needs without messy wires. The header pins do not come attached, enabling you to attach wires instead; this is great for more permanent application.
