  • 120W portable gas soldering iron so you can work almost anywhere
  • Heats up in as little as 20 seconds allowing you to get on with the job at hand

  • Runs for up to 30 minutes when fully refilled with butane

What makes this iron unique?
This soldering iron is gas powered and temperature controlled to 450°C, allowing you to get the job done right first time. The high output of this iron will allow you to complete larger soldering projects such as soldering electronic cables together. It has a run time of up to thirty minutes from a full tank of butane and the fuel tank can be visually checked so that you can see how much butane is left inside your iron. This soldering iron’s tips can be replaced with others from Pro-Iroda, making this soldering iron versatile in the range of tasks that it can complete.

What difference does the wattage make?
The wattage of a soldering iron is one of the most important factors when deciding which one to buy. Higher wattage will deliver more power to the iron’s tip, allowing it to heat up quicker. As this is a variable wattage soldering iron, it heats up the tip in as little as 20 seconds, allowing you to start soldering without having to wait.

Do I need anything else for this soldering iron?
This soldering iron is supplied with a preinstalled tip but no other accessories. You will require Butane gas so you can actually use the soldering iron. Lead-free or silver solder is another item that you will require to begin soldering. If you require additional tips, or different tips, take a look at Order Code N90FA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, if you need to do soldering quickly as it heats up in seconds. Ideal if you can't access mains power. Very doubtful about the 200 minutes run time though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish I bought two Irodo Solderpro 120 soldering iron kits from Maplin about two years ago, used them for about a month before they failed. Put them aside and bought Powercraft 6720 instead. The Powercraft have worked perfectly for two years and are both still excellent. Came across the junk Irodo irons the other day so decided to get them serviced and repaired. To my surprise there is no facility in the UK to get them serviced. and that information is not only my discovery but also on the authority of Maplin. Do not buy IRODO products for if you do you are buying junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gas iron Bought this about 3 years ago and it is still going strong. Great for soldering in locations where there is no power available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sturdy soldering iron. Been using these irons in my trade for a few years now, heat up quickly and are good quality,i see some people shaming them for not coping with heavier tasks , I would suggest getting the solderpro 180 if this isn't powerful enough,i also use one of them for heavier work and cannot fault it either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not brilliant Needed a powerful portable iron, this aint it. Just doesn't get hot enough to solder 12 gauge wire my mains 80w is far hotter. This product is junk and it drinks gas.

Hi, we are looking at purchasing the Iroda Solder Pro 120 for our site team, can you advise if these comply with UK safety regulations, and if so which ones, and do they need to be CE marked?

Asked by: Kevin
This would meet all safety certification for legal sale in the UK, however we couldn't comment on whether this covers site safety regulations as these may differ. If you require copies of any certification please email and we will try to fulfill any requests of this nature.

Just a quick review. This soldering iron is excellent! I used to have the Portasol equivalent, but this iron is much better. Temperature control is very good. Watch out for where the hot gas exhausts from the tip or you will burn yourself. 10/10
