What makes this iron unique?
This soldering iron is gas powered and temperature controlled to 450°C, helping you get the job done right first time. The iron’s gas chamber can be visually checked so that you can see how much butane is left inside. Its tips can be replaced with others from Pro-Iroda, making this soldering iron versatile in the range of tasks that it can complete.

What difference does the wattage make?
The wattage of a soldering iron is one of the most important factors when deciding which one to buy. Higher wattage will deliver more power to the iron’s tip, allowing it to heat up quicker. As this is a 70W soldering iron, it heats up the tip in as little as 20 seconds, allowing you to start soldering without having to wait.

Do I need anything else for this soldering iron?
This soldering iron is supplied with a preinstalled tip but no other accessories. You will require Butane gas so you can actually use the soldering iron. Lead-free or silver solder is another item that you will require to begin soldering. If you require additional tips, or different tips, take a look at the following Order Codes: N88FA and N88FA

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just ordered the third one one these while on special. These really are rubbish and don't last long at all,but they are very handy so I buy one when they are on special offer. The problem is that the gas just stops flowing, I striped down the last two to try and find the fault but it just appears to be gas delivery nozzle from the tank gives up and blocks. The most annoying part is that because I don't use it every day, it happens outside the warranty. The very same thing happened to the bigger Pro 120 which costs a lot more even when on offer. Conclusion; if you don't want to keep replacing your gas soldering iron, then don't buy a Solder Pro.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good if you look after them iv'e had one of these for a good while now and it works fine but there are a couple of things you need to do to keep it in good order. first of all the factory setting for the gas flow is far to high and will burn out the tip quickly you need to reduce the gas flow the same way you would with a clipper lighter by lifting the gas flow adjustment tab off the cog and adjust it so less gas flows second is never tighten the tips just tighten them very gently if you tighten them too much you will ruin the tip when it comes to change for another if you can get it off at all ( they seize in place badly ) so... once you have "adjused" your new iron it will give years of service, mine has and is still going strong new tips are cheap enough to keep it from becoming a throw away item once the tip is ruined and the gas lasts a while, enough for most jobs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and re-fuel blowtorch gives nice flame. The flint part could be a little easier to get sparks but good overall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still going strong after 5+ years I don't solder as much as I used to but even with occasional use It is still going strong. I've had gas soldering irons before that have burnt out and leaked but this one still performs as good as it did when it was new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mobile and useful item Purchased the Ј49 kit as a means to see if better than a mains iron. Immediately proved positive and capable of using on more jobs. To the point an excellent item. Well pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great iron for the money and flexibility Had this iron in my tool box over 10 years Its a great little work horse as im a mobile vehicle electronics engineer. Only thing ive needed is new tips as i tend to have it a bit high in winter. About 1/3 on the slider is roughly all you need it on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible temp at the tip I bought this thinking it would help when out in the field and needing to repair the quadcopter, in fact the iron makes a very poor effort for any options it has and I will never buy iroda again
