How good is the helicopter?
Take to the skies with this helicopter that is great fun for anyone, even if you have very little flying experience. It has a maximum range of 90 metres and each flight lasts for five minutes. You can always continue the fun after a short break, as recharging takes only 30 minutes. Running at a 2.4Ghz frequency, the channel selection system allows you to fly indoors or outdoors with up to seven other pilots, granting you the chance to share the experience and fun with others.

Can a beginner use this helicopter?
Controlling the helicopter may seem daunting at first, but with the option of choosing between three and four channel flight controls, you get a good platform to learn and experience the fun of radio controlled aircrafts. Three channels give you the ability to move backwards, forwards, left, right, up and down. On the other hand, four channels add the option for you to bank left and right, increasing manoeuvrability so you can perform aerial tricks and aerobatic movements. If you are confident enough you can choose to speed up the helicopter with two speed settings available, increasing the aerial experience you get through faster speeds and greater agility. This makes the helicopter perfect for not only beginners, but for veteran fliers too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from flys fast and smooth. having had a few of the smaller cheap ones that seem to break on 1st heavy landing, I was unsure about buying this. But after chatting to the salesman I gave it a wirl. Its a great helicopter and really does go fast and smooth, and after about 5 or 6 flights, I have to say I love it. I would advice caution if its to windy, but otherwise is great outside and goes as far as you can see it to control it. I am not ready for the full 4 channel effect, so I will stick to the 3 chanel for now. just remember when you turn it on its on the 4 channel so you have to press the button on the remote to change to 3 channel. I forgot a couple times and its interesting haha......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I have flown a few smaller ones before, but this is something else. Its easy to control in 3 channel and after my 5th flight , I switched to 4 channel(one button) and then it got harder, but once I practiced it was so controllable I love it. This is really great for me as I am improving with a helicopter and this has made the step to the next level easy for me. Its strong to, I cashed it into a tree and a wall and still no damage. LOVE I!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from brilliant this is great, easy to fly and very fast. much better than I thought it would be. Only flown on the 3 channel setting, not brave enough for the 4 channel yet haha! lasts well on a charge to. the higher speed setting makes it soooo much faster and more nimble.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 28/12/14 Hi to you all, I bought this heli today, and it is pretty good. read the manual and watch the online tips and it sets up pretty easy. Flying outside, it is put off course by the smallest of winds but that's to be expected. inside it handles very well, ask vicar or sports hall if you can borrow inside for 10 min and you will be hooked. Battery last 5 min so have ordered 5 more, remembering to let them and the motors cool down before charging and running. all in all, as said before about the 3/4 channel switch, a very good stepping stone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fast and fun. Fast and fun. pretty small, but does mean its indoors and outdoors, last one I had was to big for indoors and in this weather means I could not fly often. but I have a large office so lunchtime fun to be had. great little heli for the money. I have purchased a couple of batteries from there customer service number and this means lots more flying time.

I have the Propel Speedstar 2.4 GHz and I am very pleased with it. Although the kit came with a few replacement blade and linkage parts, at some point I will need an extra set. Where can these be purchased please? Alan Seeds
Asked by: Alan Seeds
Unfortunately the supplier we get them from do not do a crash/spares pack I’m afraid .

Hi Just bought one of these, flies great and battery time is OK but mentions interchangeable batteries - mine only came with one - is this correct or am I missing one? The charger has space for 2 batteries? I'd also like to buy an additional battery - where can I get one (or two?). Thanks
Asked by: Ian
The helicopter uses interchangeable batteries, meaning if you buy an extra one you can charge it and then quickly change over when the first battery is exhausted. Extra units can be sourced directly from Propel
