How do I connect to this amplifier?
This amplifier has inputs for both balanced XLR and unbalanced 6.35mm (1/4 inch) jack connections. The dual connection system allows connection to a wide range of equipment. If you are running longer cables the use of the balanced connections will allow you to significantly reduce the chances of the signal quality being affected by external electrical noise.

How powerful is this amplifier?
This amplifier has a maximum power of 1500W at 8Ω when operating in bridged mode or can deliver two 540W RMS channels at 4Ω. The dual blue LED back lit VU meters and clip LEDs give you the ability to monitor your levels and to calibrate your input levels to achieve optimum sound quality. Overload protection reduces the risk of damage to equipment. This amplifier also features a temperature cut off to prevent overheating. Featuring soft start functionality to reduce the risk of surges this amplifier protects your system while powering up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent as a transmitter modulator I have used two of these now for modulators for amplitude modulated (AM) 250 Watt broadcast transmitters. I need about 150 to 200 Watts audio output maximum into a 4 Ohm load. One of the services is on 24 hours a day (MW in Leeds) and the other is a 12 hour per day (SW in Datteln, Germany). I just use one channel. Another A93RU is lined up for a twin transmitter system for Manchester (MW) so it will be worked a bit harder but I am pretty confident it will be fine. Bear in mind though the frequency response requirement is different to that used in PA applications as all frequencies above 5.5 kHz are cut and the bass can be restricted as well particularly on Short Wave. Surprisingly, Maplin were unable to export the unit to Germany directly so I did it myself using the OM packaging and the 8 kg transported fine by UPS.

We have  4  L14AN   Prosound Passive Speakers, and plan to connect in series two each side,  with each speakers handling power 300w rms   at 8 impedence  will this model be safe to use, or should i go higher in watts ?

Asked by: Dobby
This would be fine as long as the speakers are not more than 3/4 of the way turned up in terms of volume. If you would like all speakers at full volume, a bigger amp would be required.

Amplifiers do not typically have such controlsunless they are a combination mixer amp BASS TREBLE and TONE is usually specified via a mixer or equaliser device before passing the sound to the amplifier.
