What would I use this microphone with?
This microphone is a rugged design and is ideal for a beginner, whether used in a seminar or karaoke. Used in live performances, the XLR connector allows you to connect this microphone to a wide range of devices such as a mixer or an amplifier. The included four metre cable will allow you to move around without becoming entangled in the cable or it becoming a trip hazard. The microphone is hard wearing and can stand minor knocks and drops without damage.

What is the advantage of having a dynamic microphone?
Dynamic microphones are widely used because they’re hardwearing, relatively inexpensive and don’t need a power supply. Dynamic microphones are effective when used with loud sound sources that don’t contain a lot detail at a very high frequency meaning they are perfect for use with a range of instruments such as drums and guitars.

What position does the dynamic microphone pick sound up from?
This microphone has a cardioid polar pattern which means it is more sensitive to sound to the front of the unit and least sensitive at the back. The pickup is based in one direction which makes it effective for isolating unwanted sound as well as having a high resistance to feedback from speakers. This makes it a perfect microphone for using in a live performance environment such as a stage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased this microphone due to the fact my old quite expensive microphone stopped working..... Brought this microphone to a gig and was actually shocked at how good this microphone was. The quality was very impressive and the fact there is almost no interference is fantastic! For the price this microphone is well worth it! They are also rather durable... I've dropped mine several times and it still is working! I use mine for djing so I would not really know whether this would suit a singer however I'm sure it would!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from i certainly agree about hearing yourself breathing still easy to hold and with a switch it is brilliant for my mini discos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant budget microphone! I used this as a "reserve" microphone for a live on-stage rock band performance - it sounded just as good as more expensive mics (Shure etc) and at a fraction of the cost. The enclosed "XLR to jack converter" lead is very handy too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really surprised I bought this microphone as a spare to my other two fairly expensive dynamics, but I was really surprised at how good it is. It has a great mid range for voice and saxophone, and when I recorded sax with it in my home recording studio it really did capture the sax exceptionally well. I'd go as far as to say that it's close to on a par with my other dynamics which cost 3 times this price. I'd recommend this microphone to anyone as excellent value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use it for recording in my home studio, you NEED a pop shield and a stand if you get this for recording, but it's great life without a pop shield. Brilliant microphone i cannot fault it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good microphone i'd recommend buying a wind or pop shield with it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good low end microphone, but description is wrong. So, this is fine but when I collected mine it had a XLR to 1/4 inch jack connector. The website description clearly says XLR, so that's a bit misleading and I had to take it back as standard make to female XLR was a requirement.

Does the cable come with a Amp jack end (6.5cm) or is there a separate item required to connect the cable to an amp. Unfortunately the pictures do not show the cable!

Can i use it in a Sony camcorder?

Asked by: Thomas
The microphone utilises a 3 pin XLR connector. You can connect it any device that utilises an XLR input, or if you connect with an XLR to Jack cable you can connect to any device that utilises a jack input.
