  • Each speaker stand can support up to 50kg of weight

How easy is it to move these stands around?
Two speaker stands are supplied and both can have speakers that are fitted with a top hat socket and weigh less than 50kg mounted. To obtain the sound coverage that you want the speaker stand can be adjusted between 1m and 1.8m high. It can cover an area (footprint) of 1.1m x 1.03m to give you a stable platform for your speakers. The stand can be folded down to a size of 0.12m x 0.1m x 1m (W x D x H), and with the included nylon protective case you can easily transport each stand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so impressed with these, poor engineering choices. Neede to buy some in a hurry, so had to take what I could get. Would have paid a few pounds more for a better built stand. Problems: 1/ Riser pole height adjuster screw on one broke very quickly (plastic housing a metal screw and nut) It also has a locking pin, so it's OK to use. 2/ Struggled to hold a 14kg speaker (N92FN) on a smooth floor, legs held in position on riser tube only with a friction screw arrangement. Had to drill the tube to insert a sixpenny nail above the leg bracket to get secure holding (the riser tube has a locking pin, why not the legs at optimal opening positions?) 3/ Lost a plastic foot very quickly (not very well glued on)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Maplin Disco loudspeaker set of 2 Stands including bag are are great bit of Disco-Kit for very little money!. The stands are fine for supporting most 10 or 12 inch Disco/Pa Loudspeakers and simply putting your speakers on stands make such a difference to your sound quality. Also makes for a much better distribution of sound levels in the venue too.And theres a Transport bag thrown in to make taking the stands in and out of your venue much easier. cheers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are excellent speaker stands. They are lightweight but very strong. They are easy to carry, quick to erect and stable in use. Inevitably, every piece of equipment has a weakness and today, after around four years' gig use, the thread retaining a locking hand-bolt failed. BUT...I regard this very much as "fair wear and tear" and have just ordered a replacement pair of the same stands!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought these just yesterday and i am very happy with them they are sturdy and very light. The bag they come in are perfect to store and to take them to any gig. I think that you get extreme value for money and are well worth buying i would recommend these to any one whether a pro dj or just doing it for a hobby.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I tried the stands and i am dissapointed, they were billed as heavy duty, my speakers are heavy (mackie 450) and the stands were wobbling all over the place, not as i expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good for the price. They go up to nearly 2m high and seem stable enough. They do need the associated 'top hat' speaker adapter if it is not already fitted to your speakers. The diameter of the pole on the stands is 35mm whereas the top hats on Maplin say they only go up to 33mm. Had to get these elsewhere.

Hello Maplins, my speakers have a flat bottom with no holes. Will I need to buy platforms to sit on top of these stands? Thanks for your help, John...

Asked by: John
Yes you would need to source a speaker platform before being able to mount your speakers. However the platform would depend on the size and weight of your speakers.
