About this product

Product overview

• Single fixed frequency of 174.1MHz
• Headset and tie clip microphone kit that is ideal for conferences, presentations and performances
• High band VHF (very high frequency) radio signals so as not to be interfered with by other devices
• Up to six hours battery life on just one 9V PP3 battery (included)
• Can swap between headset and tie clip microphones by plugging them directly into the body pack transmitter
• 6.35mm jack output socket allows it to connect to most mixers, amplifiers and powered speakers
• The supplied microphones are cardioid in design that isolates ambient noise and is resistant to feedback

What makes this kit unique?
This kit is supplied with two microphones – one headset mic and one tie clip mic. These microphones can be connected or disconnected directly to the bodypack, which can power the microphone with the built-in PP3 battery. The bodypack will also transmit audio from the microphone directly to the receiver.

Why would I choose a wireless microphone?
The wire-free design allows you to go further than you would with a wired microphone and without the cable trailing along the floor. This gives you a greater freedom of movement without getting tangled in the wire - perfect for presenting to an audience or even singing in a room where cables could cause a hazard.

Will the signals be interfered with?
This microphone kit comes under the higher band of VHF (very high frequency). This means that it won’t be interfered with by cordless telephones, walkie-talkies, radio controlled toys and FM radios, as these devices work on the lower band (49 – 108MHz). This means you can use your microphone without fear of picking any other signals up.

How easy is the microphone and receiver to set up?
This ProSound VHF microphone kit is simple to set up. Once you have removed everything from the box, unscrew the battery compartment from the battery pack and insert a 9V PP3 battery. Connect either the headset or tie clip microphone to the battery pack. Plug the receiver in to a mains power socket and then connect the receiver to a mixer, an amplifier or even a set of powered speakers. After this you are ready to sing or present to an audience.

Hi what is the difference between the VHF and the UHF? I notice the transmitter has 1 aerial and other has 2. Is the signal not as good?

Asked by: Stellz
The only difference is the frequency they transmit at.
