Raspberry Pi OS Final PDF >>

The Raspberry Pi is a computer the size of a deck of playing cards. With your television as a monitor, you can use it like a desktop computer to browse the web, it plays HD video too, so you can also use it as a media centre. But what it is really designed for is computer programming, the OS includes Python and Scratch programming environments which allow users to learn and improve their programming skills. The board has GPIO pins that can be connected to a variety electronic modules, sensors, motors or other control systems and software can be created to perform tasks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Raspberry pi is good but the only good part of it. As the micro-usb cable is dodgy if you even nudge it your raspberry pi will loose power then you will spend 10 minutes trying to get it working. This also happens in the most crucial of times as I was upgrading python and Raspian and the power went out and now it won't even boot. Also the wifi dongle is dodgy and cuts out every now and then. Conclusion: I have now had to re-buy pretty much everything in this pack and the only thing original left is the raspberry pi and the keyboard. So unless you want to splash out twice the cash. Stay away

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This starter kit for the raspberry pi is fantastic! It had everything I needed to get my pi up and going. And for the price tag, it really cheap. I picked up the refurb model up a couple of days ago and so far it been working fine. For 60 quid it a bang for a buck. It also a whole lot cheaper than the 80 pounds one, luckily I was able to find a bargain and picked up the refurb model. I was surprised to see all of the limitless possibilities with the pi, but I decided to build a portable laptop, and this starter kit had everything I needed (usb hub, wifi dongle) So for the price tag of 60 quid, it's a bargain!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic bit of kit. Make sure you use the SD card supplied as that has an up-to-date operating system and the older versions may not like the Samsung RAM used in this larger 512MB model. Wireless and wired network works faultlessly. Very very pleased, now just need to get a case for it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality The Keyboard is really of the poorest quality, the return key stopped working very quickly. But the main issue is the wifi dongle. I spent 20 hours trying each and every wiki found on the internet to set up an access point. The error "invalid/unknown driver 'nl80211'" stays. I should have first chosen a good wiki website that explains how to do what I want to do, and buy from them so I would be sure to have a support. maplineer note: We were very sorry to hear of your issues using this item. If you would like to contact our customer care team they will be more than happy to assist you. They can be contacted directly via the website or via phone (0333 400 9500)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat, low cost machine, a great way to learn technology by hands-on. Construction is fit for purpose, but the mini usb power connector is vulnerable to damage so consider buying a case for your pi. A great way to learn about the Pi is the Haynes Owners' Workshop Manual. It's a good read - it contains useful information to get you going and helps you understand what you are looking at and how to start making the Pi do stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value Bought this to try raspberry pi. Good value for £29 as it also includes: keyboard, mouse, power supply and wi-fi dongle, all of which can be re-used if I decide to upgrade to the latest model. Delivery was good as I collected in store only five days from ordering.

What do you mean by used open box or other

Generally this means to a product that may have been on display in a store, or sent to a customer and then sent back to us for whatever reason .
