What does the RasPiO Breakout add to my Raspberry Pi?
The RasPiO Breakout is a great way to connect electronics to your Raspberry Pi for numerous different projects without the hassle of time spent unsoldering and unwiring. This means you do not need to destroy many of the connections of your project if you wish to build something new with your Raspberry Pi.

Once wired up to this inexpensive board, your projects can remain preserved and intact, ready to connect back to a Raspberry Pi at a later date.

What can I use the RasPiO Breakout board for?
It can be tricky to connect wires to individual GPIO pins when the only reference is a printed sheet and a number of unmarked pins. The RasPiO solves this problem so you can make correct connections first time without having to unsolder or troubleshoot misbehaving circuits. It achieves this through large labels on its pins for the configurations found on Raspberry Pi versions 1 and 2.

What kind of adaptability does the RasPiO Breakout offer?
The RasPiO is supplied with a female socket header to solder to the central connector. However, depending on what is best for your project, the board is also capable of accepting male headers or a mixture of both.

It is also possible to connect to the Raspberry Pi through this board using screw terminal headers for ease of connecting and disconnecting jump wires. Should you wish to connect the RasPiO to your Raspberry Pi whilst it is still inside a case, you can connect them over a distance by using a ribbon cable.
