have purchased some blaupunkt event headphones and have been told that i will need a 3.5 jack connecter to fit my mp3 player. will this do the job. thanx

Asked by: steve
This will be suitable if you mp3 player requires a 3.5mm plug. If your "event" headphones are the larger 6.35mm headphone plug - it may be an adaptor you need and not this plug. See: http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-35mm-plastic-stereo-plug-to-635mm-stereo-socket-adapter-rk56l

Hi, I am trying to repair a pair of headphones - would this be a suitable replacement plug? I think I will also need a soldering iron.

Asked by: Shiv
Cables in modern headphones are usually interwoven with tiny strands of nylon thread, this melts when heat is applied and sticks to the wires making them hard to solder. This plug would be suitable but you will need a soldering iron in order to attach the wires.
